Yeah, that's the acid test, isn't it? Would they take the safe option in a must-win game? Cynical me says no way, but with this new approach, I'm less certain.
Got to also admit, that attack looks a bowler short unless Stokes is feeling fit as a fiddle.

Stokes is feeling fit as a fiddle.
Well he said he didn't bowl himself because he trusted the pace attack. Not heard that he has any issues. Though even if his leg is dodgy he still bowls if necessary

I'm guessing McCullum & Stokes have viewed the pitch and found a more typical spin-friendly Pakistan strip. Thus 3 spinners, 2 quicks and a rested Stokes to bowl 10-15 overs a day.

Far more relieved that Foakes is back in the side
Hope Ahmed has given Simon Kerrigan, Scott Borthwick and Mason Crane a call beforehand

If anyone wants some meme cricket this BBL game is hilarious; Thunder are currently 10 for 8
-

15 all out, absolute scenes. I watched wickets 1-3 fall, went on a quick 10 min call then came back and they were 8 down. Laughable

I randomly switched on 5 live sx on drive back from Saiansburys and listened to this unfold. Absolutely gold.
Chasing 139 and falling short by 114 runs. Lols.

My sister described it on WhatsApp as: "Hales leads Thunder to record total"
Needless to say when I checked it wasn't quite what I expected...

What a catch from Pope

Shit will always get wickets
-
• #13413
Foakes nearly completely ballsed that.
Just also watched the aussie bbl disaster, it made me feel great about my all time high score of 19no when I was ten.
-
• #13414
Dunno if he ballsed it because it's still a remarkably skillful bit of work taking the bails off. Bairstow/Pope wouldn't be capable

aussie bbl disaster
The second catch was pretty good. First not bad either.

Proper curate's egg of a day for Leach. Four wickets for 140. Pakistan will be disappointed with losing all their wickets for just over 300 after choosing to bat, though.

Oops. We really can't handle Abrar Ahmed
-
• #13418
Stressfull watching him bowl.
Esp after Crawly and Duckett had spent a day in the field. Focusing will have been hard -
• #13419
Still can't believe that runout, proper dross.
-
• #13420
Still can't believe there are only 6 people in the ground, yet still one of them is that cunt with the trumpet...
-
• #13421
Still can't believe that Jack Leach hit a reverse sweep boundary.

The 4:45am alarm has been vindicated. Nut!

Roooooooooooooooooooot
Fair point, although only just. I'd imagined he was older for some reason. Probably because I'd heard of him at Lancs for ages and just assumed he was in his 20s already.
