I find 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' hard to watch due to fear.
Can't sleep for days after watching it. -

Wolf Creek was more than a good surprise when I watched it, really didn't expect something good at first glance. Will watch it again for sure ... Some recent movies also worth a watch, I think especially Martyrs http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1029234/ (surprisingly very well acted) and Rec http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038988/ are really thrilling stuff ....

Acquired it on DVD(may belong to an old housemate), might give it a shufti if there's nothing else on the box tonight. Have a recollection of it being enjoyable.

The scariest movies (if there are) are lullabies if you compare them to real life ;)

I haven't seen Wolf Creek but I might watch it this weekend, mostly I'm disappointed with horrors or supposedly scary ones, they just aren't scary!~ only 1 Ive seen that really freaked me out was a old one call " fire in the sky" ...I didn't sleep right for weeks..based on true events..

Brutal film. Im not a fan of violence for the sake of it.
Watch
Requiem for a Dream - amazing film about drug users
Original Faces of Death - banned in 55 countries or something - contains stock footage of things dying. Seriosly wrong and I've not managed to get through it.
Pi - about a mathematician losing the plot. Great film
No country for old men - for the best villain ever!Love grim films!
More to follow!

Wolf Creek's based on true events which always make films better viewing imo

They said the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was 'based on true events' but I think they lied.

Yeah, for sure he is... though I didn't really like the movie, not an easy task to adapt such a novel.

Well the fella's still in prison so it must be true

Disagree. Don from 'Sexy Beast' makes matey from No Country For Old Men look like Peter Pan

Seen bits of that....when they chop the fella's head off in the desert? Fella in a parachute lands in an aligator farm...
Also, the bit with the fella on the electric chair, blindfolded and the blood poors out....suppose to be fake
Worst bit is when all those people round that table beat the fuck out of that monkey with mallets to the music of 'The Entertainer' then proceed to eat its brains -

Based on the Backpacker Murders, supposedly: [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backpacker_murders[/ame]
Wolf Creek made me feel really ill and scared. There are few films that genuinely repulse me, this was one of them. But I still haven't seen Irreversible, so I'm guessing that might top Wolf Creek in the disgust stakes.
