you claim the value back from your credit card company, because using anything other than a cc at this stage is foolhardy

Check those T&Cs, seeing as we're picking at the bones, chances are most of us aren't getting any credit card protection..
Section 75 is your secret financial superhero – buy something costing
more than £100 and less than £30,000 on your credit card, -
• #7480
And it’s £100 an item not the whole invoice.
However, if you bought two items that together cost more than £100, but each cost less than £100, Section 75 would not apply and the card company wouldn't usually be liable.

sh*t, there I was adding 9 pairs of pedals onto the order..

I paid with PayPal, reckon they’ll have a go at getting your money back for you if anything goes wrong.

I think PP make such a killing on the fees they'd probably refund you and not even bother chasing the lost cash.
(bars and stem arrived today, thanks warehouse people)

They’ve been knocking these out for months for next to nothing. God knows how many they’ve got in stock.

Figured I’d have a punt on the Doyenne 38s, pretty happy with them. Quite wide, barely fit in the DA 7700 callipers. Gonna keep the logos as it fits in with the obnoxious logo heavy build.

Rowdy. Looks great.

These are a bit more niche but the prices seem pretty good, even for lifeline brand.
I'm waiting to see if the torque wrenches get discounted

• #7490
wild !
i agree if one must use prime wheels, might as well keep the logos... -
• #7491
The reviews for that truing stand look a bit rough. I was going to sell my low-end Park Tool one and upgrade but I think I'll stick with what I have
-
• #7492
That's nice. I've got one like that but without the usps logos and it has a saddle
-
• #7493
looks like they're all gone

Looks like most things have now gone. I'm wondering if my 11-42 cassette will actually arrive. 🤷♂️

Damn, procrastinated too long in buying some conti tyres for way-off e-bike build. Just got to hope they crop up at John Pye now.

Oooff. Sounds really brutal. Feel for all the staff. As a civil servant I simply cannot imagine having a job one minute and being sat in your car jobless the next.
As a mountain biker on a budget I'll most miss nukeproof. Good stuff at good prices. They also did quality components for younger folks, which has been handy with kids that also have the bug.
You feel someone will fill the gap in the UK. Whoever does - please can you make filtering for different types of tyre easier! Gotta be the hardest thing to search for in my experience.

Just a shame that vulture Ashley family bought it, likely asset stripping and shoddily run concessions in the future all but destroying any of those micro-brands reputation/legacy. Look what happened to Evans cycles

• #7499
Who could scale up to take over though. CRC and wiggle were it.
Maybe Halfords and Tredz?

One of the euro lot move in? Bike24 / bikeinn?
Please not Halfords...
More out of curiosity than anything but what happens if you place an order and they fully close up shop before it ships?
