We’re all suckers for a perceived deal and they know it, they’ve nearly certainly designed the rewards scheme around people setting up multiple accounts. £45 RRP for a litre of degreaser is so insane that it makes one (☝️) jump at the chance to get it for £25, which is still a ripoff. £90 for a hammer is nonsensical, but at £40 it looks appetising enough to make people forget it’s still just a hammer (weight advantages for mobile mechanics aside).

Yeh my excitement was substantially curtailed when I realised it’s not possible to use more than €25 worth of points on a single order. I had a dream of getting a frame pump for ludicrously cheap but you’re right they’re wise to it. However, it is still possible to use a voucher (from points) equal to the entire value of the order. For example, order a sadddle bag for €21 and you
will only pay the postage. -

What is the best deal around for 12 speed Shimano casette? So far, the best I found is 105 at Merlin for £56

Ribble have a 11-36 for £37... https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/105-r7100-cassette-12-speed-11-36/

Thank you! Not sure how I missed that. This is already pretty low, but I will wait to see if there will be anything even lower over Black Friday.

Given the choice of a titanium chaipwhip from Silca, or a Park tools one for more money, I know which I'm going to choose
-
• #6283
There’s definitely kit that’s worth getting, not being judgemental of anyone else, rather reminding myself that £40 on a hammer isn’t a deal if I’m already set for hammers.
-
• #6284
Yeah, Silca clearly have huge margins selling direct, as most companies do I suppose.
Cut out the wholesaler who are taking 40% or whatever, and pass those discounts direct to consumers in 'rewards' and 'points'. Spend a bit more on online adverts to get the traffic and it probably works.
I imagine it pisses off the wholesalers though.I'd be tempted by a £40 titanium hammer, then I'd feel guilty for days and hide it in a drawer.

€76 for an Impero Ultimate frame pump is an impulse buy I'm really struggling with.
I. Don't. Need. It.

Specialized Diverge at Sigma - not sure it's the biggest bargain but seems a good deal:

Still loads of pairs of Adidas road shoes in TK Maxx Lewisham. Some are £17.
-
• #6292
Diverges seem to have been on perma discount for soooo long now.
If they took proper mudguards I'd probably have got one.
-
• #6293
Ah that's too bad - I was dreaming of some sort of lux-tourer/commuter build and slowly making up the justification
-
• #6294
They do don't they? There's a plastic seat stay bridge that bolts on with fender mount in the middle
-
• #6295
Is that so? When I went to look at one, the shop person said they can't take full fenders, and tbh I never investigated further.
Interesting to see though, as the forks not drilled at crown either side is it?
-
• #6296
+RonnieOatmilk yep, search Specialized Diverge Fender Bridge.
-
• #6297
The fork appears drilled at the back yeah. Going off pictures online, I don't have one

A colleague has one with PDWs on, I’ve never looked to see how they are fitted though. He won’t be riding in again until spring, so I can’t take a look.
OT from the headphones thread but seems a good deal on something you might actually want:
