Nah, Walmart boys have it in check (geddit?).

They’ve lost over £100 million since 2018. How’d that happen? Surely after the first £19.8 million loss in 2018 that should have been it?
Where does the money come from? Did they start with a pot of £200 million and they’re just waiting to become profitable some day? Why would anyone be investing in them if they’ve consistently posted losses in the millions?

Didn’t know Milltag had folded.
£32 million loss in 2019?? I don’t know if it’s crazier that they lost that amount of money in an otherwise normal year or that they’ve been kept alive up until now, having last turned a profit in 2017 (£1.4 mill).
Their investor relations people must be world class.

I will never understand how a company like Rapha can even be losing money at all.
-

I wonder if it’s their global company or just the UK that’s massively in the red.

I don't pretend to know how businesses work or operate on this sort of scale, and this isn't the right thread to talk about it, but it doesn't seem very sustainable.

I heard recently that Via Atelier by Kings Cross doesn't actually sell cycling clothing, they just let you try it on and then order online. Is that right? So it's like a rented showroom for the brands that feature there.

That’s how it works.
A friend works there, he explained it as no e-commerce site or warehouse to operate.
No idea how that works financially but time will tell though I’m a great believer in fondling the merchandise before paying.Edit: by chance i was there today and they now do sell in the shop

It's a common misconception that businesses need to regularly make 'profit', they just need to have enough cashflow to service debt and keep the beans moving around. Many big service businesses in particular like Virgin Media rarely make a formal 'profit'.
Also remember that once you make profit, you pay tax on it, so many big businesses choose to ride close to the line or fiddle the money around internationally.

I agree. It does seem disproportionate given the size of the company though.

Just ordered those but ended up with some 3t carbon bars as well 🙄

Ordered these cheap Zipp SL70 bars from wiggle for a gravel build but I just think I'm not going to be pleased with the width. I want skinny flared bars instead really.
44cm
Anyone interested before I have to pay to return them? White logo

I think a URL of

is enough to put me off before even going on the website -

A gamble with a bargain sometimes. However I don’t think I can face reciting that companies name over the phone to my bank. Especially with a straight face and emptied bank account.

Carbon wheels in 38mm and 50mm deep for £300. I had the 50mm on a CAAD 3 and they were decent for the money

Thinking of say bye bye to tubulars on my ridley cx baik and have a go with these tubeless..do you reckon they might work with 700x33? Thanks
-
• #6200
Hmmm, me and two others got them, other guys set up 28mm tubeless and I have 25mm clinchers. Don't see why 33mm wouldn't fit, don't imagine it would look too daft
rapha next?
