If not, here's an idea...

I'm bringing my butler instead of my lock. He can ward any potential scoundrels and street urchins off with his brolly.
If everyone is taking a butler (as they should), the ride will be double the size of the officialous list. Or do I suppose correctly that the footmen will have to run along after the ride?
Ah, how ironic to be ironic about the ******* class system.

I told you Duncan, I am not going as your butler!
Mobbs! Once you've finished polishing my Silver there's some ironing to be done in the pantry. . . oh and I think we'll open a bottle of the '54 tonight. Will go spiffing with the Venison I shot at the weekend.

Put some brown bar tape on for the occasion!
Surely a few minor changes can have a modern bike looking shipshape and bristol fashion in no time at all without going to the lengths of building a whole new ride -

Then again I could ride my father's charge plug race although...I'd rather ride my own :P

Saville rows gonna be proper fucked when everyone turns up!!
10 days to go. What are the predictions for final numbers? 150 signed up would be amazing. I think a few people i know may be coming as well, plus the chap and tweed cc delegations. It also seems a few who've signed up are bringing non-forumgers as well.
Hugeness abounds. Is there a hostelry that can fit us all in?? -
• #670
Oh and if anyone needs pipe baccy give me a shout. Got a pack of gold block that theres no chance i'll ever finish. May be sweetening it with a dash of vanilla and orange peel for good measure.

yeah... about that... i'm considering changing the starting point to regents park. i'm suddenly worried that a flashmob of 100-odd tweedies showing up a block away from police hq isn't the best idea.
check this thread later, should be posting the final route in the next few days.
-
• #672
Good idea Teddy. Last thing we want is the police to shut this down, or think we're some pro-hunting protesters.
-
• #673
That is a good idea but also a shame. Meeting on Savile row would be awsome.

I think it will be fine.
I've already spoken to Huntsman and they were quite amused by the whole thing and had no objections.

What about top of the steps between The Mall and Pall Mall? Lots of space there, and also nice and close to Savile Row.
I told you Duncan, I am not going as your butler!
