You should of said hi anyway. The worst you would have got is a weird look! Where was it anyhow?quote]

Sorry Harry.Major, I was refering to a chap known as the Joker. His name is harry and he lives in north london. He moved to Berlin.

I havent made your aquaintence yet but I am sure I will on the tweed run. Unless you fancy coming up to North Drinks. Ta ta.

  • Hey Teddy - is the route sorted or listed anywhere???

  • Chaps

Winter drinks need to be a bracing warmer. Whisky Mac, Sloe Gin, or a Hot Toddy are all suggested. Though I believe a rather hot Teddy will also be on the ride.

VelocityBoy ought to be seen and not heard.

Port requires cheese and regrettably my valet has misplaced the picnic pannier. We are unlikely to encounter malaria, so no need for quinine - some of you colonial types really need to be a little more aware of your location.

Oh. My bad. Small world. Two Harry's on the same thread who were going to Berlin for Crimbo. Lolis.

I shall look forward to making your acquaintance then.

steady on, old chap! i'm not yet at liberty to divulge the route.

i can say though that it's a jolly brisk 22.5 mile route that takes us by the queen's residence (we may pop in for tea if that horrid philip isn't about), across a few bridges, through the city, out to victoria park, london fields, and angel, across to regent's park and back down to soho.

the end of the route is still undecided, pending a rather exciting development which i shall inform you of in due course. patience, old boy!

My sugested route. Start Saville Row. Tea at the Ritz then drinks on the lawn with the Royals. I understand this may be a bit of a chalenging route for some Gentlemen/ Ladies who dont want to exert themselves.

  • A tad short my dear friend wouldn't you say?

    Exertion is not advised

True, although tell that to Teddy who just telegraphed us a 22 mile track accross Ye Olde London.

  • gee, 90 peeps, that's a whole lot to keep together, wished i was in London sometimes, tweed I have much of.

  • Rag and Bone in Deptford has furnished me with a fetching tweed jacket and a pair of trousers.
I was going to ask my tailor to take the trousers in- they are a 40" waist.
Hippy- if you can source some smaller trousers then we might swap however?

    From The Chap manifesto;

"It is time for Chaps and Chapettes from all walks of life to stand up and be counted. But fear not, ye languid and ye plain idle: ours is a revolution based not on getting up early and exerting oneself - but a revolution that can be achieved by a single raised eyebrow over a monocle; the ordering of a glass of port in All Bar One; the wearing of a particularly fetching cardigan upon a visit to one's bookmaker. In other words: a revolution of panache. We shall bewilder the masses with seams in our trousers that could cut paper, trilbies angled so rakishly that traffic comes to a standstill; and by refusing the bland, watery substances that are foisted upon us by faceless corporations, we shall bring the establishment to its knees, begging for sartorial advice and a nip from our hip flasks."
