  • Awesome.

Sounds like a trip we did a while back to Holland - through den haag and back round; three days of sleeping rough - including woods, petrol station forecourts, and a city centre. we pretty much drunk Gin the whole time. but stayed true to form, and didn't remove our tweed ensembles once. had an amazing time. we're planning one to brittany one soon, then maybe one to Morocco and one in April to go clay pigeon shooting...

    all in gentlemanly attire.

here are a few snapshots from the trip.

  • re: photographs, would Mr. Edscoble oblige?

  • any of you mo-fo's bidding on a simply titled "plus fours" just outbid me.............so back off buddy, they are mine. :)

haha, I looked the other day and there were loads in my size, and today there's hardly any, I think the forum is single handedly buying out the entire country's supply of plus fours.

  • right, i'm not going if i don't win those!!!!!

  • good work teddy, loving your work. count me in.

  • I'd be incredibly keen but like many others have a 'need for tweed'

@Corny and anyone else in the same boat - Do you want to do a little tour to pick up the necessaries next week at some point?

  • wibble we could do a tweed run on the saturday, david saxby - putney to JD's place in camden, thence to Bricklane/ Hanbury St.
I generally don't finish work until after 6, so weeknights are out for me...
you gonna be down to souths tomorrow, we could figure out a plan then, if not we'll continue the discussion in this thread..

  • good work teddy, loving your work. count me in.

Are you Jonny W who used to live in/near Streatham? I remember you from a cycling forum of yore, if so.

  • hi TB, am indeed the same. sometimes clocked you at the bus stop or on a nice pinarello. now in peckham.

Heh, I couldn't remember if I had a different username back then. I've drifted east too, in New Cross now. Still on the Pinarello until next week when I hopefully should finish my stupid neverending Soma build. Hurrah!

Right, I need to go cape shopping.

i know dude. saw your steed parked up outside an offy in camberwell a couple of weeks ago, just didn't get to the spotted thread in a timely fashion. must have standards.

you had the same name there too. i dropped the wilkinson on here cos of too much rugger related confusion. anyway, cape ftw - sherlock holmes style. should pick out a deer stalker too.

  • can anyone recommend some high socks in a nice beige?

  • Corny, unfortunately I'm in the countryside until next sunday (would the shops be open on a sunday?) but if you're happy to wait another week til the 17th-18th that would be better for me..

Obviously if that's cutting it a bit finer than you'd like we may have to wait for another day to be shopping buddies

  • can anyone recommend some high socks in a nice beige?

M et S dude, seriously, they deliver on shit like that.

  • I'd love to do this ride, but need to get my ass into gear on the clothing front! The mercian is begging to do this ride!

  • can anyone recommend some high socks in a nice beige?

  • Maybe we need South East Drinks (the Zn. 2 edition) at the Montague Arms. Hmm?

Or maybe I should stop derailing this thread... sorry

  • good work teddy, loving your work. count me in.

Can I expect the yellow gazelle??
    please please please.

  • wibble,
JD's place is open on sunday, and I'm pretty sure the vintage place in bricklane will be as well, so next sunday's fine...
think we should do it en masse, nothing like the chance for a ride on a cold winters day to try on clothes eh...
