Not sure if its been mentioned but Salute Clothing on Holloway road does a feck load of vintage attire for very reasonable prices (make sure you wash them before you wear them)
Can be found at 162 holloway road.

I hope people put effort into facial hair.
If I stop shaving now I might be able to grow a moustache in time for the ride. Testosterone fail.

**An update. **
Hello chaps. On the 24th, we’ll be meeting at 2pm in front of H Huntsman & Sons. I’m sure it’s in your address book already, but for visitors to London, their address is 11 Saville Row. Don’t forget to bring some pocket money for a lovely cuppa and perhaps a biscuit at the tea shop stop, and for a pint or two of bitter at the end.
I trust you’ve had your man preparing your outfit already. As an added incentive to turn up well turned out, there’s a competition -- friendly of course, all in good fun. Prizes awarded for:
Most dapper chap
Most dashing dame
Best moustache (open to both men and women, of course)
Most enviable period bicycle
The Doff of The Cap award for most civilised behaviour on the dayAnd a big doff of the cap goes to those who have donated the marvelous prizes: Hudson’s Hats (The Bonk), What Goes Around Comes Around (JD), Ved, and The Chap Magazine.
Looking forward to seeing you. Toodle pip!

I may just have to come up with a very very good excuse to not play rugby that saturday then..
EDIT: Whilst saying that I'm going on a bike ride dressed in full tweed is a legitimate excuse to me, my captain may not be as pleased (although I'm sure he'd be impressed)

btw - do we make our own spoke cards, or is somebody doing that? That picture is ace!
I was going to do up a few spoke cards with that design tomorrow. If anybody wants any just P.M. me & I'll bring them along to the ride.

I was just in Trumpers, chatting about cycling but they did not mention their sponsorship of this event.
Its like going into a sweet shop when I visit. I always want to buy the entire contents.

Great shops. Good for those tweed jackets and some lovely hats.

Here's The card, i'll bring some to SE Beers tomorrow:
I can make enough for everyone no problem, PMing me for one gives me an estimate of how many actually want one.

Excellent then. Any excuse to indulge my love of moustaches.

Excellent card. I should think everyone on the ride will want one.
-
• #166
I do, but won't be able to make SE drinks. I'll grab one at some point though please.
-
• #167
is that Fluff + moustache? the bearded look was good so anticipating the 'tache.
-
• #168
Cool. Double-sided and laminated?
Of course.
Like is said to teddy I generally screen print things like these up but with the numbers expected and the layers of ink needed, I'll just use high quality digital prints & use glossy laminating pockets.

The one spoke card I might consider having. As a bookmark. For this.

Ooooh my first spoke card. Excited now!
Will be on geared vintage if thats acceptable? Will have only just finished building my first fixed by then and learning to ride it in a pelton of 50 odd sounds suicidal to say the least... -

been thinking about us possibly going for high tea, friend posted this on to me,
http://www.afternoontea.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4&Itemid=3rather expensive but we'll be gents in tweed so this is the done thing, there are other hotels which do high tea as well. So if people think its a goer can check their cost/availability for a group of our size.
As an alternative there is also this place which is in highgate, pinkgotti, could you do a swift ride by to see how big, what it looks like, if its worth going to as there are no images on its website...
http://highteaofhighgate.com/or if we don't want to go up highgate hill in tweed, or the cost of the park lane hotel is too exorbitant we could always go to some place like sketch or patisserie valerie.

And if that's too small I'm sure some wouldn't mind a refreshing beverage in the Coach and Horses next door. ;)

Not at bleedin' four quid something a pint we won't. Weatherspoons for beers!

Corny. I will have a look at the tea shop. We could all dismount, light our pipes, and meander up the hill (posibly via the delightfull Waterlow park) taking in the views, talking about the gripping toppics of the day. Remember people. A Gentleman (or Lady) in tweed dose not exert ones self.
