  • Gutting. RIP indeed.

  • i'll be going to earthless.

Earthless are amazing, as are Atomic Bitchwax

Listened to a good bit of both of them. Not mad impressed with Atomic Bitchwax to be honest, a bit cheesy to my ears. That other support band Mirror Queen only had one track I could find on youtube, which wasnt really lighting my fire either.

Earthless are pretty good though. Twenty minute, looping, repetitive, crescendo driven tracks? You're speaking my language bro. Not exactly Villalobos' "Blood on my hands" but I can get definitely get into it. Reminds me a bit of the messier bits of Fly Pan Am. If I can get a pass for the night, I'd like to check them out.

  • This is getting a second run, from start to finish. Fantastic stuff. Well impressed.

  • ^ All of the awesomez. Cheers Kev

  • Seen this yet?

  • Dunno if people like Meshuggah here, but I'm quite a fan and am just checking out their new album for the first time... fucking devestating. The second song 'The Demon's Name is Surveillance' is so full on I'm not sure my head can take it after a hectic day of work. Feels like my brain is about to explode

  • Is anyone going to Megadeth at Brixton Academy?
Still toying with it but I've a full day of tattooing the day after = sober(ish) gig

  • Not a big fan of megadave these days

  • Erlen Meyer'n new song. Quite tasty, sludgy French language metal.

  • Eyehategod & gates of slumber gig in august.

    Nice

  • Pretty moving piece from Randy Blyth/Lamb of God reflecting on his manslaughter charge http://randonesia.tumblr.com/

Yes! The EHG / Church of Misery show (last year?) was great, apart from the amp problems.

  • I don't think Benjamin likes Beastwars.

Arses, I'm not listening to Los Lobos all day.

  • I'll take it if you promise not to groom me, £20?

To be honest I was put off going to this entirely by the ticket fee's, £6.25 on top of a £22 ticket is scandalous.

  • They were excellent last night. Looking forward to tonight.

Inside the beers are £4.50 for a small bottle so don't plan on getting smashed either. I'll be around early if anyone wants to meet up for a drink or two beforehoand.

  • Due to the traffic we got there about 20 past 8 last night and I think we missed the first 5 minutes or so. Assume they start around the same time so be in by 8.

  • By some amazing quirk of fate I've won two tickets to see Melvins tonight, which I don't need now.

Who wants to share my good luck? £10 each! Anyone?

  • SHIT why have i only just seen this!?

  • ^ Also, Dragged into Sunlight and Bossk at Birthdays (Dalston) on Sat night. Dunno what the venue is like, but the bar upstairs is pretty hip... gonna be an odd combination of crowds in there methinks

  • i'll probably be at that bossk/DIS show. the new bossk is so different to I/II/III and the rinoa split though, i'm still undecided about how much i dig it. i preferred it when they weren't trying to sound like early architects. i really wish they had kept vocals to a minimum, i just think it sounds a lot better

  • Yes!
