  • Great to see you and Mrs. Pun as well. Good stuff from Uncle Acid, I thoroughly enjoyed that

  • Great show... Head hurts, ears still ringing...

  • A great show indeed, very much regretting skipping dinner now though...

  • The Shovell are playing a show at The Macbeth on the 4th of next month, it's even fucking free... Who's in? Let's mob up...

  • The Macbeth is a den of cunts.
We'd need a really big mob.

  • And we'd have to get really, really drunk.

  • Go on...

  • Ghost and Gojira last night were both pretty damned good, nice to see the lesser spotted BRM as well

I missed defiled and feed the rhino(what a shithouse name) with good cause

  • my double header this weekend involved a fair spread:

hairy 60s/70s rock n roll followed by some awsey garage rock

    then

shithouse nu-metal followed by heavy as fuck french metal then some hilarious king diamond ripoffs!

  • ...and it was nice to catch up with the ever-present mr & mrs c-pun.

  • Kvelertak new album stream here: http://thequietus.com/articles/11673-kvelertak-meir-album-stream

listening now... cheers for the reminder that this was out!

  • Anyone here ever hear of Ensemble Pearl ? They sound interesting...

  • Carcass tomorrow night, anyone else get tickets?

  • ^ Moi.

Any idea what the support are like?

  • No idea, but I do know that the support is the reason my mate got tickets for tomorrow rather than tonight or thurs...

  • Age of Taurus, tonight support are really rather good

i didn't get tickets... thought about trying to wrangle some but just haven't bothered

  • No idea, but I do know that the support is the reason my mate got tickets for tomorrow rather than tonight or thurs...

Cool, well I'm gonna be there in time to see them, so let's hope your mate has good taste!

I may well be sporting my just-arrived forum cap, so if you see me say hi.

  • Carcass tomorrow is go... Hearing very good feedback from tuesdays gig

  • Can you let me know if Ken joins them for a stint on the drums, I knew him before and when he was in a coma. Haven't seen him in many many years but I'd heard that he was drumming a bit again. Would be great to hear how he's doing.

  • Just got home, Carcass were fucking killer. Sorry I missed you Jim, only just saw your post, would have kept an eye out for you if I'd known, didn't see any forum caps...

And no Ken im afraid, they were playing with a new lead guitarist and a new drummer, although you'd never know, they were fucking epic.

    insert stamp of approval

  • Hey Colossus were ace tonight and all, new record is killer.

  • If I hadn't been at Carcass I would have been there ^ fo shizzle. Hey Collossus are brilliant, gonna try and catch em with Eternal Tapestry next month.

If you're into vinyl, get the album, (pretty sure tonight was the launch party) tis being released on Mie Records who are good peeps

  • Yep, Carcass were superb. A long set, but didn't get boring. I think I prefer them live to on record actually.

And Hey Colossues are ruddy brilliant, my favourite UK band. Have seen them loads of times, but was still thinking about going last night. Is the Eternal Tapestry gig the one at corsica studios? Have never been there, should be good.

  • If you're into vinyl, get the live album, (pretty sure tonight was the launch party) tis being released on Mie Records who are good peeps

    You know Henry?

New album is a for real album rather than a live album, no? (in the sense that it wasn't recorded at a show). Anyway, it's out on Monday but the vinyl won't be out until record store day I believe :(
