His & Hers...

Why all these new 14s? Is it cos the old ones kept snapping?
-
• #9204
the purple one has a hint of backward forks, like on those argos bikes!
just a hint though

I've no idea what I'm gonna paint mine. Keep leaning towards red.

FYI: I STILL HAVEN'T FUCKING RIDDEN ON MINE AND IT'S DOING MY HEAD IN. Had to ride the missus' bike into the shop today for some essential work meaning riding that home instead of my 14. Also I built the wheels wrong, they need redishing by 5mm towards disc.

I can't stop staring at it though. Or sitting on it. Or pulling the brake lever or pinching the tyres.
Haven't been this inlove with a new bike since building the Edwardes.

Love that blue Cam.

Red is faster, even faster if it fades to white/rust.
Also, ha, Josh is a girl.

How are the gears working for you boagey? I'm tempted to leave mine on
-
• #9215
sometimes the chain comes off when i'm hopping (rarely), i've got a goldtec DH chainring to go on that has longer teeth than my deore that's on there that will help.
changing gear to suit a court is so useful! not to mention commuting on it.

Why not protecting the derailleur with an usual guard?
Max get is owe one broken in konstanz this w-e in a stupid and random bike on bike contact. It took ages to fix the stuff. Also a simple shoot on it can cause huge damages or change gear (while pedaling, hardcore). -
• #9217
^^ I've got a 31t ring without any ramps on it. So much better than a normal 9sp chainring. The ability to change gear is so useful. I've fallen on to mine a few times and it's not bent yet. I could make a guard for the new bike when that's sorted.

uolmo: my derailleur hanger has already bent mid game, didnt affect the operation of the derailleur at the time. bent it back and all is good. a guard would be good, i wonder if Max will make one up if his has broken?

Whoa, your bike is like a expensive version of mine.
I've got a derailleur guard covering the rear (attaches to the axle, which is a bit of a pain for punctures).
I've also got an anti-chain-whipping thingy on the front to stop the chain from popping off when hopping. I can't remember where I bought it from, but Gabes hooked me up with the link. I can look into it if you're interested. Made a big difference for me, but Gabes also bought one for another bike and had a lot of trouble mounting it.

Mrak could you link plz?
Needing something of this description for mine. -
• #9221
Fuck. I was hoping no one would ask. I'll let you know.

I used to use a chain guide but it was a bit old so it rattled like fook.
Something like this with a roller on the bottom.
but it clamped between the BB and the frame instead of a BB spacer. Because of that you could only use it on a 68mm BBshell -

Boagey, might be tricky to mount it cos the power frames have those weird dropouts. I had to file a shit load off my guard too. I'll see if I can find it, can bring it up when I'm in town in a few weeks.
polo specific wheeldiscs, universal size. As shown above, only £6 a pop!
