nice tim, how much of the steerer did you cut off out of interest?
None yet, still getting a feeling for it. Is the top of your headtube threaded too? What's that all about!

yeah, my guess its so you can cut it straight when you do cut it, its way too high up for anything to do with a headset. Im sure someone will come in with the real reason

Just a guess but could it be something to do with the manufacturing process?
-

For a start, its probably your steerer tube thats threaded not your headtube.

What did people do with theirs? I think I'm going to continue playing on it, maybe a bit more gently, on the presumption that if it fails, it won't be catastrophic as there's three other tubes holding the wheel on.
i discovered the exact same crack on mine at the london open this year. im not complaining though, its a 4yr old frame and im a fatty too (bout 90-95kg) still playing with it but not as aggressively .. depressing as i only started hopping just before i saw the crack. im just gonna get it welded and use it as a commuter again

Would it be to much effort to fix the all the broken pompinos? Possibly replacing the crimped area with some thicker gauge tube or going for a machined BB area? If anyone has a broken pompino they're chucking out I might take it off you to fix it up. I'm comparatively light anyway (70kg).

ex-polo bikes as commuter bikes is what its about...
my steamroller now has a 100mm stem, mostach bars, nexus, flat padals and front and back v-brake. can cruise all day.

Hi every one,
I'm working on polo geometry and I was wondering what was the average on direction and seattube angle. Looks like every body stays on 73-74degres, Am I wrong? Has any one build some less sharp angles?
Well hope my old Giant stone breaker will soon be a collection piece, even if it's brilliant.

nice one PK, mine is in the mail, hoping to have it ready in a few weeks
you going to put wheel covers on it or is 36 spokes on 26 rims enough to stop a ball..?
