What shifter you using, Rich?
Having used this for a couple of weeks I really want to upgrade to a thumbie, any opinions on the Paul thumbies? I notice you just get the mount with the barrell adjuster you dont actually get the shifter. It would be a much neater solution that the one I got now.
Ideas?

Hypothetical question:
If one was to take a small pompino frame, re braze 26" bosses, change fork for 26", would this be a sweet polo bike? -
• #5788

Don't think so Felix.
Good point T. I has 155 cranks.
Hypothetically... -

A frame designed for 700s is never going to be brilliant with 26s fitted (unless the tyre difference brings it back to a similar setup), but yeah, it could be an interesting experiment?

Hypothetical question:
If one was to take a small pompino frame, re braze 26" bosses, change fork for 26", would this be a sweet polo bike? The clearances are only good for 700x35 so would most likely foul with 26" wheels and chunky tyres.
What would be the advantage?

Lighter than mine, strong wheels, small and sturdy. Do 26's turn better or no difference?
Doesn't Lalou have 26" on her pomp, or just the front?
-
• #5796
Just the front

^this^
I tried putting my 26" wheels from the old polo bike on the pomp when I first got it and it was well slack in the back but good in the front (because of the famous toe overlap), hense my current set up.

Cools Lal, cheers. Cleared that up then!

Do 26's turn better or no difference?
I think they turn better. I've tried both John Eggpie's and Ali's small pomps with double 700s and I found the stearing to be quite heavy and swoopy.
Motorpolo, wow! Massive pitch, 5-a-side, full body armour... Who's in?
