  • bill does courier pigeon lets face it.

  • BLB to Chukkas

Sweet wheelset for polo...in my opinion the best rims around...hard to get a decent 48h wheelset in LDN but available now through BLB.

  • 26" > 700c!

  • BLBLBLBLBLBLBLB.
    .

  • ^ Ha!!!

Seriously, 26" so much better, no need for 48 spoke setups, and not even much need for disc wheels, and lighter. Deep section rims also suck, they just get damaged more.

Depends. Deep Vs dent, but I didn't even get a scratch on the B42. Best rim ever! Shame they don't do it with a braking surface.

Unquestionably true. Smaller wheels are stronger.

However, for the taller person, it has to be said that any frame over effective seat tube size 56c or so looks ridiculous with 26". Just look at Prav's clown bike.

  • Ride a joust, they have amazing handling, as does dt's new bike. They might look clownish, but they are better.

Well, the BS needs replacing as a polo bike, so I am def looking around for something else. But not sure if I can stand the indignity of riding kiddy size wheels.

  • indignity? surely you're used to that, just being you.

    Miaow!

  • missed the wheelchair with 26" joke gabes ;)

  • ha!

  • Miaow!

Now you've resorted to imitating your cats?

  • The nokon kit was long enough woooo

  • Told you...

  • 104bcd only go down to 32t.

    Inner ring has 22t.
Any idea what the bcd on that would be?

  • If it's five bolt it's 99% certain to be 58bcd (the 1% being a stronglight triple with an inner BCD of 66)
    If it's four bolt it's 64bcd.

I think that covers every posibilty (except those cranks that use screw on cogs?)

  • Pompino almost ready to go... Need to get my new wheels built, any volunteers?

  • speak to JimBilly, he will sort you out

  • the big thing with freewheels is they have nothches to remove form the hub. The CHeap ones like Dicta and LIPA (or something liek that) can NOT be remove and need to be fuck to take from the hub. The White Industries and Shimanos, have notches and can be remove.

I had to remove one of these cheapo ones last week, took ages and at the expense of most of my drill bits, whoever thought a notch-less freewheel was a good idea was an idiot

in the moment that you have to change a spoke or to change back wheel or whatever....
the expensive ones in the long run are cheap.

I started a thread on this because a couple of people have said it can be done.
