  • glad you like it, it should arrive by tuesday so i'll give it to you in paris.

Could you give me the £119.99 in euros please.

    cheers

  • @sol - go for any design with rounded corners.

I kept whacking my knee on my stem recently and it bloody hurts!

  • If Cosmic had bike sponsorship...

  • ^baubike?

Those Onza forks are well cheap snoops. no wonder they went bust.
I suggest that we all buy some before a shop buys all the stock to sell for $$$s.

  • yep 700, they have another model which is 38 axle to crown, i'm thinking of trying those out.

With the same size tires, that would steepen your HT angle by 1 degree.

what will be your ideal choice of tyre for the front?
do you know how much bigger in mm, are the 28c or 32c in difference with the 25c?

Really depends on the make as the 28 is supposed to refer to the inside diameter of the tire. 700x28 Fyxation tires actually measure more than 30mm externally (according to Hassan). Same with Marathon Plus.

  • yep, i'm trying to establish what axle to crown the pompinos geometry was set up for.

when i researched the frame the HTA was perfect, but if the forks are slightly long (which they look by the top tube slope in the picture above) then the front end may be slightly slack. so i wouldnt mind going shorter a-c.

i know the 32 refers to width but the height difference is also pretty noticeable, no?

  • @goldenwheel is that a dick on your tt pad?

ha ha! no its actually a rad old skool S&M bmx pad...but trust you to spot a dick print inbetween the shadows!

In fork a-c length, 1cm = .5 degree change in HTA

As in 700c x 32? Yea, height difference depends on how much rubber the manufacturer puts on their tire. A 700c x 28 conti gatorskin on my rear wheel would fit easily into my frame but a 700c x 28 marathon plus wouldn't, I had to dent the chainstay bridge to make it fit (forward facing dropouts -I miss trackends- and using the same length chain...).

  • Golden wheel, actually pretty tidy mate...

@Ray...yes, the cutter is looking very tidy (dont know why you sound so suprised)...just a few more wants on the waiting list...then the upgraded new look will be complete in time for spring!

B.T.W, nice pics from the weekend!

  • hey snoops, what ever happened to playing with that crazy layback post? just curious what the reasons for ditching were, is all.

    p.s nice bike.

  • Those Dodici frames are a step back rather than forward.
Very beautiful but aren't they just track frames?

Definitely prefer Luis' Decathlon for polo.

Yeah really hard to tell from those photos what the actual geometry is like... they still look pretty long.

The Decathlon freaks me out... way upright and seems really long.

Ta mate. dont think i got much of the actual polo action but a few gems nonetheless.

I cant believe how low you put yer saddle.

  • Yeah that one of rik looking at me trying to bash my mallet back into shape is a classic - looks like Goliath looking down on wee David!

I know, I run both saddle and stem low...helps me get my body over the bike more easily.

  • quadmic

  • geekhouse 26" coupler polobike

  • its got everything... shame it looks so gash. Like the gash bike (insert pic of snoops bike here)

  • I quite like it, except the colours, although personally if i was going to get custom Polo frame made, i might insert a curvy seat tube ala the old skool grass bikes to get you right over the back wheel...

  • big fan of the frame splitters

  • that geekhouse looks like yoda's turds floating in his extra-terrestrial moon swamp.

  • Looks alright to me except the forks.
I'd imagine it would be expensive though.
At least it's moving in the right direction...

  • that geekhouse looks like yoda's turds floating in his extra-terrestrial moon swamp.

I can't tell if this is a good or a bad thing?

Couplers have me divided... do you really that extra bit of compactness?
    The purple paint looks gash.

  • would you wanna ride yoda's turd around?

  • I have this, does the job and was cheap.

  • I've got one of these that's just sitting in a box at home...

  • Extra bit of compactness = not paying £20 each time you fly with ryanair, and domestic flights in n.America charge you a fortune for checking a bike!
