Question:
Is there a reason/advantage that one would put a back brake (as opposed to a front brake) on a fixed polo bike? Its just something ive noticed quite alot recently and not really understood.
Have been rocking the brakless for ages, but gonna fit a brake in the new year and am curious, is it because you're using undrilled MTB forks, or is it something else. having played/ridden brakless for quite a while the back brake seems a little redundant to me, as surely my legs will get there first/more efficiently?...

I would rather control the back end of the bike under heavy braking with one hand on the bars than the front.

my polobike has a freewheel and a rear brake

Totally, freewheel+back brake makes loads of sense, but its just seems quite a few of the fixed london players have back brakes rather than front, and it just seems slightly odd...

I got a back brake because font brake freaks me out and i don't like the way it affects your steering...
Saying that, all of the best players here play freewheel front brake, controlled endos to 180 what the fuck!?

It just helps to flick the back end out and change direction more suddenly (twist & turn) when on the ball. Basically I find it helps give me more control. But i also prefer to ride with one jol strap, so it's all about what feels best for yourself.
You can get a dural 110bcd from Spa for 11 quid.

You can also get Zicral or ct2 for £25 or £28. ct2 comes in 33, the other two only go down to 34.
