  • ...and my stem is as long as my face.
    Sad face or happy face?

  • Nob joke about crank length.

  • Use your penis to find saddle width

  • Nice goals.

  • seems legit

  • Yeah, no elbows, not in the danger-zone, must be fine? What do the rules say about asshole spectators who contribute to your downfall?

Like the way the checked guy doesn't even let go of the bar to break his fall. Clipless grips?

  • It seems like he was trying to regain balance with his left leg but the other guys chain got in the way.

  • that was a poor line to take..pull your brakes and live!

  • True. Checked guy was probably thinking:

'Balls, I'm on the wrong side here. I'll just carry speed through and try to catch up later. There's no need for this guy to be a dick. He's got position advantage already and the balls just been whacked miles aw...OOOWWWWwhatacunt!!!'

  • Moar bikes plz.

  • Pelon's move was legal. Under the new rules it's not:

    1) No arm extension
    2) No checking off the ball

The spectator's push is a whole different thing.

  • Someone with an Oak polo frame - what is the seatpost clamp diameter?

  • Normally 27.2mm post + steel frame => 29.8mm clamp, give or take some paint.

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

We just put my forks in a jig (finally) as I've felt the bike was weird for a while now (hence all of the cockpit changes).

I wasn't imagining it. They have bent. I have -7mm rake on my 0 rake forks.

Now, forks are expensive and Ryan is pretty busy. Meaning a long wait I guess.

I am ordering new forks. No question. But in the meantime....

Can I run my forks backwards? +7mm rake. The only thing stopping me from running the bike like this is the fact that other than being on the 'wrong' side, the brake will be backwards, the caliper will take force in a different direction, as will the caliper mount (both the adaptor, and the brazing on the fork).

Is this likely to be an issue? It's my only brake. I'd rather not find out at the cost of teeth/collarbone/someones expensive car.

  • too many endos?

  • and crashes probably, yes.

Also keen to know where Todd and Dave got their 14 replacement forks made/if they did at all/just went aftermarket?

  • Run them backwards and crash into a wall head on, check new rake, rinse and repeat until you have your desired forks.

  • ^ I am not sure this is the most scientific/engineeringly sound way to proceed but will bear it in mind.

  • It'll be fine, just don't crash too hard and break your frame or at an angle and twist things.

  • I am running them backwards.

Cue Emyr posting calculations and CAD drawings of a BB7 failing catastrophically if used in reverese

  • Ha. I would be careful though as normally the braking force would push the mount towards the fork leg and you'll be pulling it away, I'm not sure the brazing would like that. Can you not try some ghetto cold setting it a vice or something?

  • Cold forge the fork blade?

  • Would the fork end up like this?

    http://www.cotic.co.uk/product/roadrat

He thinks his design helps prevent the wheel pulling out of the fork... Although I can't think of any other designer/company who either agrees or thinks it's an issue.
