E-mail from Vicki: "I have spoken to Zhor this morning & he said that the contractors should be finished doing what they could by the end of this week (weather permitting) & once it’s been done he will set the timers for Monday 6th Jan. If I hear anything else I will let you know."

cool. can you get some confirmation of the timings? would be good if the lights came on at 6pm so that the kids can play football before we roll up for polo at 7.

I did already ask Zhor and he said this: "Once fixed they come on at various times (before it gets dark) Winter at about 4pm and Summer about 7.30 or 8pm. They go off at 10pm" I know that this isn't true but I'll e-mail him tomorrow to remind him that he said it.

Sir Alfred Bore himself (weirdly, his e-mail address is jody.allen@bham.ac.uk, maybe Sir Alfred Bore is an alias!) just e-mailed me to say that all the lights except one have now been fixed and will be programmed at the weekend so will be working next week. He also gave me a long list of reasons/ excuses which I won't bore you with!
