^ memories J, memories. Pure bliss. (The bit where it kinda breaks down a bit and then that really subtle vocal sample - 'come on' - magic)
B side was Tall and Handsome was it not?!

Of course Outrage was Fabi Paras who IMHO deserves a thread of his own, but in lieu of that fateful day, here's a stone cold Fabi classic:

Tall & Handsome and 'Sexy Dancer' was the start of 'handbag', played by shit DJs like LuvDup Twins, TWA, Judge Jules etc....same as 'La Voil Soliel' on XL Records

Repost.....
For 5 points, can anyone tell me what the TWO different vocal samples were from? One of the answers is on this very thread :-)
For a bonus 5 points, the track on the other side featured a sample from a now sadly deceased female vocalist.....can you name the artist and sample track?

Is Fabi Paras dead?
Hard to say - Google brings up this link which suggests he fried himself and sold his tunes!

Oh yeah, shit. Vaguely hearing about him losing it and working in vinyl exchange(not sure which one though?) Others said he was dead

This was another ace label(at the time) and this was a killer track BUT also another track that was killed by all the shithead speed garage DJ's playing it on +8! Cunts!
Sampled Logic - Blues for You (Hard Dub) one of my favourite tracks ever. No link as on my iphone (somebody do the YouTube honours!)
To be fair, Nice and Ripe was a UK garage label, so no surprises the +8ers were on it!

It turned into a UK Garage label but when it first started releasing stuff in 93/94 it was a fairly decent UK HOUSE label with a standard 4/4 beat and decent enough productions. Comparable sort of sound to the other UK stuff at the time, if played at the right speed it sounded OK but then all the London Pirate DJs started pickin it all up and Grant Nelson tapped into that and started producing stuff with a harder more dubbier edge to it
I remember hearing a lot of Nice n Ripe stuff being played properly by proper London DJs(CJ Macintosh, Paul 'Trouble', Bobby & Steve, Ricky Morrison etc) and most of it sounding ace, then flicking on a pirate radio station 2 nights later and hearing the same track being butchered by some knob in a flat in Peckham and it just lost all it's 'soul' and turned into a load of shite. Pirate radio DJs had a big influence on the 'UK Garage/2 Step' sound as a result of this.... -

Reji Burrell?

Actually, don't knock Madonna(well, productions/remixes atleast) a lot of her early stuff and remixes were done by 'Jellybean' Benitez, Shep Pettibone, Morales, Vasquez etc...
Phil Perry I think.
Another nice label from the same era - Zoom - not the right side for me, and not the best mix - Keep it Open - Deep Collective
