Not necessarily lecturing anyone. Just asking. As for Chelsea, I believe the fans made it quite clear that they weren't happy with the Benitez situation. Roman owns Chelsea FC. He can do with it pretty much as he sees fit. His judgement has been pretty much spot on considering how successful the club has become under his ownership.
Spurs on the other hand are still a listed company?

Yeah it's profit making business rather than an expensive PR stunt / money washing machine for an oligarch. Your point?
Abramovich made his contempt for what the Chelsea fans think clear by hiring Benitez in the first place. He binned him when he wanted to, not when they wanted him to (which was straight away)

As for spot on judgement... Two words: Avram Grant
-

He finished the season after TSO fucked off... He was already DoF, so not really an appointment...

But I take your point...

and still got us to the CL final.

which we lost. But it's still better than a lot of other managers have done and probably better than Tim Sherwood will ever do.

I love it when fans starting mocking each other about how their clubs are run.
All football clubs, without exception, are run by fucking idiots with more money than sense.

Oh please, Boris Johnson could have auto-piloted that team to the CL final.. same goes for Di Matteo.

Quite, I've long since resigned myself to the fact that I can no longer relate to top flight footbal; the people who run it and the people who play it. It's horseshit.

there's soooo much truth in this comment. It could only have been said by a wise old man.

I'll give you Grant. RDM did alright for us and made himself an obvious first choice and he had the team performing better than what AVB did.
Scolari and AVB where bad appointments that fell through rather quickly. They both were replaced by someone (Hiddink and RDM) who managed to win a trophy that didn't look likely under their predecessor.

Deep stuff.

this article makes me unsure whether Levy is an evil genius, or if the people who are running the club actually know what they are doing.

what worries me more is that Kaboom has been allowed to get this close to the end of his contract without being offered a new one. I know he's been injured for the last year or so, but when fit he's still our best central defender..
-
• #99447
Both, Corny, both.
-
• #99448
A fool and his money etc. I'm struggling to think how Moyes could have got it anymore wrong this season. Besides a relegation battle
They aren't all bad; Moyes needs to be brave and rejig his personnel i.e. play Fellaini in the position in which he destroyed the mancs whilst at Everton. Play Mata where he's most devastating, behind the striker; Rooney or VP. They are central heavy with Wellbeck there, too but it's a nice problem to have.

Corny do you really rate Kaboul. Vertonghen is better IMO. Kaboul is made to look good by Dawson who is probably the least mobile defender in the Premiership

Kopite schadenfreude is vile, makes me wanna put all the plastic whoppers on ignore...
Now there's an idea...
Please do fuck off, then.
but bravo, and also LOL at a Chelsea fan lecturing anyone on how to run a club.
