Great result for Ipswich yesterday, coming back from behind to beat Derby.
2 points off the play-offs now, Saturday's game against Forest now looks huge, I might try and go along if I can. This is by far the best season we've had since the one where we sacked Jim Magilton for not being good enough.

One down two more hard games to go.
Think on this, Fellaini cost more than Yaya Toure.
Yup but by the time Toure had played his first competitive match he cost more.
Toure was bought from Barca and Fellaini Everton - you don't even need to talk anything else.

United's starting line up last night cost more than City's, no?

"It's probably a typical week for Arsenal, really," he added. "They capitulated at Chelsea and it seems to be a similar theme when they play the top teams. At Liverpool, against City, for one reason or another the players just seem to go missing.
"The [Mikel] Artetas, the [Santi] Cazorlas, the [Tomas] Rosickys and the [Mesut] Ozils if you like – I know he's not played for a bit – but it seems like they go on the pitch with no discipline, it's almost as if they’re saying: 'You four or five midfielders, you go out there, do what you want, try to score us a goal, do a few nice little one-twos, a bit of tippy-tappy football ... don't bother running back'.
"That's just my thoughts on it, I don't know what the manager does, it just seems that way to me. It just seems the midfield players have no discipline, there's no leader there, no Patrick Vieira, no [Tony] Adams, no Martin Keown.
"Sometimes, as midfield players, when you're against it you just have to say: 'Look, get in here beside me for five or 10 minutes' to try to stop the flow of attacks and, these, they go 2-0 down and they just carry on what they're doing. 'Ah, we'll just have a walk up front, we'll lose the ball, play a nice little one-two and not even both sprinting back' ... and you wonder why they’re in the position that they're in!
"It's Arsenal fans you feel sorry for, they seem to get the same thing every year. Maybe a little hint of the title for a few weeks and then they go to Chelsea, they go to City, they go to Liverpool and they just do nothing."
Paul Scholes pretty much saying how it is...

I'd be interested in hearing Scholes discuss Utd's situation in such depth.
Thing is at Arsenal the midfielders have done whatever the hell they wanted from the day that Viera left. Fabregas was the least disciplined player of the lot.

spot on, pretty much.

although Flamini is a pretty disciplined player and usually puts in a good shift for them.. he's hardly world-class though.

Good article about Lundekvam in the guardian. This bit made me smile;
I was brought over by Graeme Souness and he used to join in during training. He thought he still had it as a player and he would join in for five-a-sides and it always ended in a punch-up. Every bloody week.

Arsenal could use a Souness. If just to rattle people in training.

Derby's goal yesterday was a brilliant bit of counter attacking play.
Absolute screamer from Jonny Williams though:

Good article about Lundekvam in the guardian. This bit made me smile;
Listening to him, you instantly understand what Strachan meant when he said, "He was carried off at Leicester and someone asked me if he was unconscious. I didn't have a clue. That's what he's always like."
I think I'd read that before, but well worth reading again.

The whole focus on this thread for the past 4 years has been Liverpool fan bashing. And for the last 20 years from all angles.
Now we get a chance to turn the tables, we need to make hay when the sun shines so have some chevrons -

I'm pretty sure he will be staying at Arsenal.
