Not a bad showing tonight though. No established centre backs, no Adebayor, Soldado on his own up front. could have gone a lot worse. Nice to see Chadli score twice and really nice to see us not collapsing completely. Bentaleb repaying Sherwood's faith in him somewhat, pretty solid game from him.

It was him that gave it away for their pen though wasn't it? He's still young and far from finished. It also worries me we have a lot of talent we barely play especially in midfield (paulinho, llamela, dembele..)

Yeah in this game selection was needs must - but just generally over the season we've had no stability in terms of a first 11 and some odd omissions when they are fit/available.

Yeah, you're right, there's not been a steady 11 through the season, but we've also had a lot of new players to bed in. Odd omissions, sure: Eriksen and Capoue spring to mind. It'll start stabilising once we get people back from injury and Sherwood has a better idea of who wants to put work in.
