Everyone's favourite PL manager baiter has gone after Arsene and Arsenal's 4th consecutive year of "unforseeable" second half of the season injury crises

I love Verheijen, he's the most opinionated Dutchman I've come across. He hardly gets it wrong though.
His views on the Ozil and Strootman injuries are particularly interesting.

Lovely free kick from Eriksen, won by Kane with his one two with Eriksen on the edge of the box..Still in with a shout..

Round 2 should be entertaining. i bet spurs don't have 11 men and a manager on the pitch at the end.

Poor showing from English teams in Europe this season. I almost want Chelsea to get through its so dire

Apparently Nicklas Bendtner got pissed last night, threatened to 'fuck' cabdriver and whipped his taxi with a belt, while rubbing his cock on the windows. Classy and a sure way to improve his chances of finding a club...
Mahiki, Cirque Du Soir, Chinawhite and Annabel's Club are all that

We'll be playing a team of U21's.

I'd say outfoxed. Benfica are a wily side.

Spurs fan on Sherwood seems to get it right:
I was at the match and I have to agree. The individual talent in the squad is impressive, I know that all the players are much better than what was on show tonight. It's impossible not to blame 11 individuals underperforming on the management.
Benfica didnt look anything spectacular but they were solid and, most importantly, had a game plan. You could sense some purpose in their actions, be it defending or attacking, whereas we looked confused and the players didnt have a clue on how to build an action.
Sherwood theatrical gesticulation just make it seems like he's trying to give the crowd an impression that the problem is the players not following his instructions, but just ends up looking like someone who has no control over what's going on.
Another thing that jumps out is that there doesn't seem to be an appointed leader, someone in the pitch that is the mirror of what's on Sherwood's mind and can help him put his vision into play. Which unfortunately makes me doubt if there's any vision whatsoever. -

As I mentioned many many times AVB had a plan, a philosophy about how he wanted the team to play, based on possession and being strong defensively through that possession, making us hard to best and then filling in the blanks attacking wise.
Now we don't have the possession or the control so it's a game of attack and counter attack, bypassing the midfield where we have no control anyway and launching long balls to adebayor or diagonals out to the wing.
Eriksen is the only one looking to string something together and continues to be the creative spark that could get us going but sherwood seems determined to play him anywhere but up behind the striker where he wants to be.. In which world was Kane a better player operating off adebayor I don't know..
Anyway will be interesting to see how he sets us up, or not against arsenal who have just as much to lose on Sunday..

I think the mancs will relish being in the position that we normally occupy as being the spoiler/spoke in the wheel with not much else to play for....You can just see their forward line clicking.
