city far better tonight, chelsea get started, with city pressing well.
showing again chelsea need a striker, would have though demba ba would have been worth a shout to tie up lescott and company with a physical game. -

Lovely to see Chelsea given the boot. Thrushy won't be pleased.
Season grinding to a halt? -

No, it means we don't have the distraction of the cup to worry about. Just CL and PL from now on. Not bothered about the FA Cup, it's alright to win it if nothing else is on offer but at the moment we haven't got the squad to be involved in three competitions.

A quick word to the good for Markus Rosenberg who just donated the contents of his house to his local sue Ryder as he moves back to Sweden after 2 yrs at Albion. Nice bloke

Bert van Marwijk sacked by Hamburg. I make that eight defeats on the spin. Thrashed by Braunschweig this week which is just delightful. If ever a team deserved to go down its them.

It's crazy, not like there's not enough talent in the squad. Another case of are they too good to go down? They've had like 5 first team coaches appointed over the last 4 years. Crazy.

Frank Arnesen really worked his magic. Ever since he got involved they've been a clusterfuck. I know he left about a year ago but he really did leave a 'legacy'.

Jarchow shouldn't be allowed to walk away from the debacle scot-free either.
Politicians getting involved in football >>>>

Those were permanent appointments dicki, RDM, FSW were interim appointments which cuts the list down to 3 which is average for a PL team, apparently.

I wonder if this excuse will be rolled out by Arsenal if we beat them later

seems like creating trouble and wishing away gets you a bumper new pay deal
rooney moves above eden hazard as the premiershits highest paid player

Just watched City-Chelsea. I think the big difference was Pellegrini playing Garcia and Milner in place of Demechelis and Navas.
Also - Kompany dominated Hazard.
I reckon getting knocked out by Barca would be the best thing for City's season.

To be fair to Chelsea, they have also had success, Hamburg have been fucking garbage.
It's sad to see what was once a powerhouse of German football in such trouble, countless titles, loads of domestics cups. European cup, Uefa cup, etc...
Unless they sort themselves out, they are going down, and could well stay down.
It would be like Everton getting relegated.

In Pisti's absence I felt obliged to post this. Some Norwegian fella has just won a skiing race at the Olympics and guess which football club he supports?

Everton?
No, I know the one you mean, they've been banging on about it, even over here.

Bayern now have a 16 point lead in the Bundesliga. It's looking more and more like a one-team league every year.
The same financial prudence, and ownership rules which have been good for German football, is now effectively handicapping everyone else, as only one team can spend €100M and stay profitable...
I remember a few years ago Munich were talking about playing in the Italian league. Too late for that, they just really need a European Super League.

I thought it was agreed that everyone on here had to worship the German league? There are definitely a few too many that have a bit too much knowledge of world soccer leagues on here. Not only are they not yentzing in the off season it seems they are swatting up on Somalian league two possession stats
If ever a case for chevrons >>>>>>>>>> -

Well, my excuse is I'm half German, so have a passing interest.

Wow, 7 minutes in, and I'm disappointed not to have scored.
Sturridge really should have done better, we've got to take those chances.

decent stream for this game?

Not got a good feeling about this, things not going our way...
Pellegrini has called his bluff though by playing Toure in a deeper role. Exactly what he should have done in the league match.
