they tried to do a chelsea / man city before the cash was there
10 years too soon
Couldn't happen to a nicer club. Leeds and Risdale were a match made in heaven.
The story of Seth Johnson signing for them is gold.

I'm glad you like it too. Seth was a great player for us. 1 cap for England somehow made him worth £7m to Leeds. A few injury hit seasons later he comes back to us on for free. He was never the same player after his injuries though.

Yeah it's a good article and very timely after the Racing Santander players strike. Spanish football is fucked from top to bottom.
They've been barred from the same competition next year. I'd suggest football is FUCKED.

well it wasn't quite jan 2011 but i am happy about our transfer dealing
buying some relatively unknown untried and untested players ... it seems once we lost salah brendan just started looking to 2nd and 3rd best targets .. we don't want 2nd or 3rd best
i am happy to sit and wait till the summer ... hope we can get that 4th place and attract some better quality signings come the summerynwa & in brendan we trust

Out with a back injury for up to 2 months. Poor sods.

Still to be confirmed by the medical team but it doesn't look good apparently.
-

Shoddy, but it pretty much says we're concerned but not making any comment on the issue until he's been assessed by the medical staff.

I heard he wasn't injured during training!!
Re our transfer day:
Statistically we'd have a better luck with an Italian import so I'm not overly bothered about not getting him*. Funny the player was no where to be seen as he was queuing for a visa to play against Spurs.
We're not broken in attack and we have defenders coming back. We've known for a long time that even without injuries we need a MIDFIELDER. Y u no fix?- it further increases the futility of Ayre's negotiation 'technique'. If we fail for 4th, the board only have themselves to blame because united getting in will seal the door for another generation.

Sunderland ripping Newcastle apart. Relegation league is hotting up alright. Could be the tightest in years. Should make for a good season this year. Hull are holding their own against Spuds, Stoke beating Utd and WHU getting 3 points vs. Swansea. 6 points between 11th and 20th.
