It's a shame Hodgson is keeping faith with lampard and Gerard in midfield.
I'd have had Wilshere and Shelvey in there with Gerrard, on current form.Townsend and Sturridge selection is bold and a good choice IMO.

...on current form.
So far as Roy Keane's concerned, that puts Jimmy Tarbuck between the sticks.

Who mentioned Shelvey?! He's a fucking shaved Neanderthal.
As for his form... I must have been watching someone else waste every ball that came their way last weekend I guess?

88% pass completion, and Swansea's most effective - so it is a possibility.
People may not agree with the player (I like Shelvey and I think he is the sort of player we require in the national team setup going forward) but I cant see how people can disregard the logic. How can we start with Lampard and Gerrard in the centre of midfield?
I dont think Joe Hart should have been starting as there are players who are playing better in his position (Ruddy and Forester).
Players like Caulker, Delph and Barkley might rightly feel aggrieved at being in excellent form and not being selected for the squad (or brought on from the bench)
People seem to get pretty bored about talking about England but I think we have the makings of an exciting team, that is being hindered by fully developing because of mis-guided loyalties to certain players.
tl:dr
