Lukaku's move was bold and brilliant. Lukaku is an improving player. Before WBA he was forceful but not precise. His improved. Getting plenty of football at Everton will give him the chance to really hone his skills and return next season as a finished product. I am happy with his loan. He would not have got so much game time at Chelsea. He still has some devleoping to do.

AVB has every chance of being a superb manager. He will never be as good as Mourinho. He did not work at Chelsea because:
He was too well known there. It is difficult for someone who has been at the bottom of the ladder to assert himself. Look at Mourinho's relationship with Barcelona.
His man management skills were not up to the task.
He couldn't stand up to Abramovich in the way that Mourinho can.

I shouold add that I thought the appointment of AVB at Chelsea was a good one. I really wanted him to succeed and be given time. Sadly, it did not work. He has gone on to do something more suitable for him and we have Mourinho back.// Everyone is happy.

Your spelling is terrible Clive. Have you been at the damson wine?

I spell idiosyncratically so that you will be able to tell if my account has been hacked.

Ah. And because Schick lurks on this thread.

Joining Pisti in the predictable stakes. Careful you might become as boring and one note as CliveO, and the fantasist Chalfie..

As I was heating up my pudding (blackberry and apple with custard, delicious it is too) I was thinking we could compare football thread posters with great composers who shared their characteristics.
Then I had a stark moment of realisation of what I was doing, so thought about something else.

I'd rather read one of 'scobles posts than waste my life reading the shite Corny posts

Can I just say I'm sick of the Corny baiting. I love the man and his posts on here.

Even if Spurs are shit.

I've got more than enough time for Corny.
I'm a bit tetchy at the moment as it's that time of the month.I wanted to be a show off. Again.

Are you saying we need to focus on the real trouble makers "on here"?
It's always Liverpool with you isn't it?

His posts consist of basically 2 things:
- Copy & Pasted quotes or links from The Guardian
- His 'own' match reports and thoughts even though he doesn't go the match
Both are about as valid as 'scoble giving tyre mounting advice

Going with the theme of composers as posters:
Corny is definitely something baroque. This guy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_Hieronymus_KapsbergerSounds Dutch, probably played as a 10.
Johannes Hieronymus Kapsberger : Ciaccona - YouTube
Would be as infuriating as he was wonderful. Like Berbatov.

I watch football
I go and support my club whenever possible
I talk about my experiences, positive and negative
I take the piss out of Kopites and Liverpool FC
I don't listen to plastics as they are generally helmets
I don't gain anything from reading match reports from people who weren't there
I am a football fan and I enjoy all forms of football banter -

Unfortunately, minimal music is quite beautiful and delicate.
I can't post things by Reich as a comparison of single phrasing and repetition.Instead, I can see this in all of us.

looking forward to seeing more of Eriksen on the weekend, as well as more than a cameo from Lamela.
Eriksen is looking tasty in that creative role behind the striker and the step up in competition for Siggurdson and Hotlby who also want to be in that position can only be a good thing...The only thing I'm worried about for spurs is spending 50m on soldado and lamela - because right now they aren't that much better than defoe and townsend/lennon/holtby/siggurdson (depending on where you play people). It would be a shame if they got lots of game time because of their fees a la torres when other players are competing well.
That said I think they have shown moments of brilliance so far and are obviously adapting to a new team and new roles. Looking on youtube lamela seemed to have a lot of freedom and central position at roma for most of his goals?

Oh fuck that was a massive dredge. oops.
Though I cant see any difference between what he is doing and what AVB did - it's just that John Terry/Fat Frank and Cashley had the Mourinho mind melt done on them years ago.
