Oguchi Onyewu, and Damiano Tommasi have both done the same while playing in Italy. Tommasi I think was out for a long time with a pretty bad injury, and asked to be allowed back on a youth team salary while he worked his way back to fitness. Still a nice gesture though I suppose.

In other nice gesture news, it was good to see David Moyes calling for retrospective bans for diving after his own player blatantly dived. Normally it's the other way round, so to have someone speak out against it when you don't necessarily expect them to is always welcome.

Not got a chance to see a game yet, next week is the big clash with Sporting Kansas City, but we've got a polo tournament here at the weekend, so I'm hoping to make my fan debut on the 28th, against the mighty DC United.

i really liked the insights of neville and carra although a bit defense heavy they really made you think about positioning / activity on the pitch and made you look at some moves in a different way

the first half / second half stats this season have been very wierd
open expansive football first half get a lead then close up shop in the second ... not sure if that is psychological or something rodgers has told them to do
