I can't see what the problem is with Hans......
Oh hang on, he's linked to LFC isn't he?
I get it now, sorry.
NO. He and 'Lawro' are complete garbage. Just about everyone one there come across as total dinosaurs when talking about the game.

Tottenham rethink stadium plans
How much does it cost to build a new stadium in London? How many Gareth Bales I wonder
It's about time they knocked the fucking "call centre" down anyway.
-
• #88255
What new stadium for Spurs. Surely it's merely a model of a new stadium they're interested in, they should consult Liverpool.
They could just hijack our plans

I know Downfall parodies are almost as outdated as that stupid fucking keep calm meme, but this raised a chuckle;

He was at Wembley last night, I reckon.
He loves a good international game.

Serious question: am I unpatriotic because I can't stand English football fans and generally English people who travel?
-
• #88262
Nope. Misanthrope. Try being 'merican.
-
• #88263
It's just that I was called "unpatriotic" by some Ingerrland fans last night for being a football fan but not supporting the team.

Then one of them started waffling on about "forrin players ruining the youth set up" so I just wandered away and didn't rise to the bait.

I'd like to see England to well, but if it's at the expense of seeing some of the best players in the the world, play some of the best football, week-in-week-out, then no, I'm not that bothered.
Premier League > England

I know it was moldova and I only saw bits of the match between downing pints at a friends leaving do, but why does Welbeck look a half decent player whilst playing for england (obviously against a team we should be putting to the sword) but seems to not be in with a shout at Utd? Obviously RVP is class in a glass, but Welbeck after scoring 12 in 39 appearances in 2011-12, last season scored 2 in 40. Yet has scored 8 in 18 appearances for England.

but seems to not be in with a shout at Utd?
He's started every game this season...
-
• #88269
And you've failed to score in two of them.
-
• #88270
He's made a decent start to this season so it may well continue if he builds up some momentum.
Last season when he did play at united his goalscoring suffered the same as rooneys because of RVP in that he wasn't playing at the top. His biggest problem probably was of those 40 apps 19 were off the bench and when he did start he rarely got beyond 70 mins before he was hooked.
Another factor is who his 8 England goals have been scored against:
Sweden x2
Belgium
Moldova x2
Scotland
San Marino x2A few of those sides would get beaten by man utd but he wouldn't of got all those goals from the left or as an unused sub.
