Fantastic to see Chelsea do a 'Tottenham' on Tottenham over Willian.
Looks like they are about to throw their toys right out the pram over it.
Great stuff. -
• #86679
Means we'll hang onto Bale then. Which would be nice.

He's only 29, so has a fair few seasons left in him yet.
He was never properly replaced anyway, so I'm glad to see him back.

Not a bad stop-gap signing, in fact exactly the type of player we could do with in the squad now. In on a free, short contract, knows the set up.

Got to say not sure whether to be amused or offended by the histrionics coming from Mikec and dicki. Where's the newfound Spurs bile coming from? Lose out on a couple of transfer targets and suddenly spurs replace utd/Chelsea/man city as the evil empire.
No wonder you guys are so often viewed as melodramatic whinging fannies. It's the transfer window players and agents will go where they can get the most cash, and playing time/playing for trophies. If Chelsea beat us to Willian it will be because they can pay more for transfer plus wages and offer champions league football. Something neither spurs or Liverpool can do.Hope we get him, but if we don't I'm sure there will be another player we'll be in for, as will Liverpool.
On another transfer note, we're back in for the romanian? central defender chiriches (sp), though kaboom looked good last night against limited opposition, glad he's back to full fitness..

liverpool are holding their heads high in this transfer window
shame mike and myself can't follow their lead
sorry corny
group hug and lets get back to laughing at manure arse and chelski hey
us little teams had better stick together -
• #86698
Don't take it personally Corny. Makes a change from directing all the moaning at the usual suspects and direct our attention on Tottenham and Arsenal for a while
Although it is true, how can they throw their toys out over being gazumpoed when they are quite happy to do it themselves? -
• #86699
Remember Mikec its all rumour and supposition, maybe the toys out of the pram is to force Real to come up with more cash, or get Di Maria instead of Coentrao, who knows?
Never take anything as gospel until the deal is done and someone writes up the issues in retrospect..
