I hope Palace sack Holloway, just to keep him out the papers for a while.

This. That carrot-crunching yokel twat, is the most annoying man in football.

At first glance I was in agreement with Cliveo - perhaps I still am.
However, content of that article suggests that the AST have an issue with the amount of power that Wenger has. Are they suggesting that Arsenal adopt a system more in tune with that of Tottenham - coach and DoF?
Genuinely interested as Spuds have been trying this for years (with reasonable player investment) and yet still consistently finish behind the Arse. Perhaps this year will be different

The Independent has Arsenal down for £12m, derisory nonetheless. Cabaye is probably the 2nd best midfielder outside London and Manchester (Fellaini being my #1).
Why hasn't anyone gone in for Mulumbu yet?
Some Italian side wanted him for 4m. We like him but to be fair he is at his level with us. Tenacious ball winner , will shovel coal in the engine room all day long but has a tendency to hold on a fraction too long and gets caught out right in front of the central defenders who a starting to go into their 'our side have got the ball' mode and it often costs us goals.
On the plus side me and jonny think he is brilliant at sound effects I.e. he looks like the bloke from police academy.

So apparantly we are in for Kondogbia or Cabaye - this I can understand, both are good players. Both would improve our team. I think both would cost 20m (kondogbia's release clause) I would personally like both.
But then we are in for Uchida, which is just an absolute joke. He isn't better than what we have and wont improve us. I read earlier in the summer we were looking at Corchia, who is a far superior option.
I honestly think we are 5-6 players short.

If you fail to land any of thoseI have it on good authority that the guy from police academy has a 2m release clause. Not as good as any of those players but does put the opposition off at key moments with whistle sound effects etc

That's what we used to think in our old five a side team, 5-6 new players and we might have won a game

@jackal, as bill parcells used to say, you are what your record says you are.
Yes Tottenham have finished behind arsenal, for however many seasons, and we don't have the stadium as of yet to compete on game day revenue, but we are well run and the chairman is backing the manager with the players he's asked for.
It feels despite the setbacks that we are moving forward with a plan on how we are going to get better. Arsenal dont. Wenger is doing the same thing hoping to get different results which is what Einstein defined as madness. I think arsenal have a weaker squad than us and are in real danger of falling into the grasp of clubs striving for champions league football, us, liverpool, Everton and the swansea's and WBA's. despite selling carrick, berbatov, and modric, we're stil challenging and the team has changed but moved onwards. Arsenal and wenger are relying on unearthing gems when they need a few polished stones in the team now, not paying over the odds, but the finished article who will give them a couple of seasons to allow the young ones to flourish. It feels like wenger has not replaced henry, fabregas, viera, toure, nasri, clichy, which leads to a decline in competitiveness..I think arsenal need to start over, and look at getting someone Younger and more energetic in. Wenger had a good run, achieved a lot, but eight years is a lot of patience for any board, and wenger hasn't shown any recent inclination to change and remould his side as ferguson did so many times at Man U.
Arsenal need to find a new dein/wenger partnership, but I'm not sure who they could replace them with..

I think it is a worthwhile point of the supporters to call out for clarification of what Wenger's KPI's are.

Allegedly Arsenal have made a 20m bid for Pogba

So basically you're saying that Mourinho is trolling Man Utd? He'd fit in well on this forum.

what are wengers scouts doing ?
i don't think they are on here, because there doesn't appear to be a list

One thing that SAF was perhaps not given enough credit for - his lack of sentimentality and his knack for replacing players at just the right time. He rarely if ever held onto anyone for too long.

Nasty stuff
I'd like him to stay for at least another 8 years, they can even finish 4th every year for all I care. As long as he's not winning any trophies, other than the cherished 4th place one, I'd be delighted if he stays there until he hangs up his slippers.
