  • 1940's Scotty P off to QPR apparently.

I thought that had already happened months ago.

If not, maybe there's still time for him to find himself a decent club. Surely he would still get into a bottom-half club, he'd do a job for Fulham or Sunderland or Norwich or someone I would have thought.

  • Will let you know when I've spoken to my dad Tim. Back in blighty tomorrow.

    No worries.

  • where is B&D by the way

    Currently in Lombok avoiding Australians.

Think he's on holiday drinking Bintang and eating nassi goreng on a beach.

On the nose. Well done Sir.

  • hmmm lombok very exotic

i bought some furniture in there as well

    http://www.lombok.co.uk/

  • Willian to LFC? An upgrade over Downing and MG can still mention Anzhi Mackcshellaqaboomshellaqalaqaboom perdiodically.

  • I know very little about Willian but a quick look at figures suggests but 2 caps for Brazil (with their habit of using a lot of players) and never playing in a major European league by the age of 25 suggests £30m is a high price.

    Is he worth that much?

  • This late in the window?

  • hmmm just coming here for that debate ^

    marquee signing
    another andy carroll ?

have we got money burning a hole in our pockets ?

mixed reports on this chap ? eto'o going for 5mn willian going for 30mn

with those numbers, i know which might be preferable

  • When you've not really bought anybody?

  • He should be 5 time better than Downing according to The Football Thead Evaluation Index

  • Think though dicki - with hair like that you can go head to head with Fellani in the derby.

  • It would look like the hair bear bunch

  • Think though dicki - with hair like that you can go head to head with Fellani in the derby.

    will hughes, willian

we'd have the best hair in the premiershit

even joe hart and his head and shoulders couldn't compete

  • Considering Anzhi whole squad is transfer listed.....ah its the hair.

    Totally worth it.

  • if we're gonna spunk £30mn maybe michu would be a better option .. although he does come across as a bit of a berbatov .... " quality doesn't need to work hard " ?

and with a michu bid we can wind up arsenal even further ... who are allegedly looking at him having given up on suarez

  • Christ - you could get Big Andy Carroll and Stuie Downing and still have £10m left.

Imagine that culture left foot pinging balls onto the big mans head. Suarez wouldn't have to run it into blind corners any more.

  • Dicki, E'too is going for a small transfer, but big wages, he's the highest paid footballer in the world, on something like 350k a week, so he'd have to take a pay cut to come to the premiership, but since he had his wages paid up front by anzhi, he wouldn't mind too much..

Speak to Jaw or Tenderloin about Willian, he's young, can play across the front line, and is pacy. Lots of clubs have been interested, and it seems anzhi want to recoup the money they paid for him, but with them being in financial turmoil possibility that price drops as they need to get rid..

  • dicki, think you do michu a disservice he works hard for swansea, when required, as does berbatov, too often we equate hard work with quality in this country and its not always the case, hustle and bustle is no substitute for great technique and the vision to make something happen.

  • Heavy traffic on the Barking Rd and Green St today as The Boleyn Ground is infested with digruntled cockneys wanting refunds on their season tickets

Fuck me, actually literally paying to watch that shite next season..."Right lads, just get the ball out wide so Stuey can knock it in an fookin twat it over so big Andy can gerr'on the end of it....!''

That cunt has always played the shittest brand of football at every club he's managed - FACT!

I'd rather watch Stoke - FACT!

  • michu and willian ... do they play a similar role or is michu more advanced ? seems like will is an attacking midfielder and michu a striker ?
although the lines are blurred in this post 1970's world we live in

The disgruntlement was out of the way long ago, a couple of weeks after Aladice joined and the WHU fans realised they could give up what little style they had in return for mid-table obscurity. After Kevin Nolan and Carlton Cole, Downing and Carroll is almost an upgrade.

I wonder if it's that simple though. If they've paid him up front and he still has a year left, and they're desperately trying to cut costs, surely they'll try and claw back a chunk of that wage? Might be why the £5m figure is being touted, because it would cost that again for whoever buys him to pay off the rest of his contract.

  • Dicki, attacking midfielder, second striker the lines have truly become blurred in this false nine era. I think Willian is slightly more versatile in that he can play out on the wing, or centrally behind a striker, he's one of those multitool midfielders, like Mata, or Silva, or Ozil, in that they can be played out wide and be effective and assist and score goals, but yearn for that creative scoring role in the center behind a striker..

What is the reason for a small transfer fee? Given they've already paid his wages, wouldn't they want a big one to try to recoup that as it wouldn't be the situation that they just want him off the future payroll.
