Interesting one that. We paid £4.5m and although when we signed him in Jan last year he got 11 in 14 he was absolutely shite last season(Spurs & City goals @ home aside)
That would be good money for us ONLY if invested in another striker of atleast £8/10m....I wouldn't be too confident going into a new season with Kone, Anichebe and Vellios as your only strikers

Saying all that, be a shame to let him go as he has still got more in him(somewhere). Don't think we should be too hasty on this one

To be fair to the Aussies, all their 80's sporting hero's are over here at the Ashes at the minute so they need something to cling to. The downside of this is that Liverpool are currently the most successful sporting side in Australia.

Maybe Liverpool should up sticks and relocate, then they might win stuff and TS could change teams so he will have something to watch following his emigration.

I wonder how much it would be to dislodge Merseyside from the rest of Britain and let it float all the way to Australia and link it with a causeway? Surely that would give all parties involved the best of both worlds? UK's unemployment plummets instantly, Scousers get the chance to sun themselves silly without applying fake tan, Australia gets some heritage.

Wow, that's a bit left-field. Interesting to note that he's a protege of Bielsa and likes to play an attacking game, pressing high up the field so in a sense it's a natural fit.
