Spurs edge closer to the signing of David Villa.
Would be a great signing for my money. Kind of jealous, I'd like him at Arsenal.

How many strikers do you need?
Surely Arsenal have got more strikers than any other team by now.

It's because of the French influence at Arsenal. No one knows how to strike like the French. It is a nation of strikers.

would be great to see David Villa in the PL. and for Bale to just go. so boring following the hype and the transfer nonsense.
sorry about Baines pisti. we need him though. need to say goodbye to evra.

buttner is showing promise but baines is the finished article. and this is gonna be a tougher season than last with you guys, citeh and the arse all strengthening up a fair bit

Jonny, you'll miss Bale when he's gone.
Don't want him to go, he's not the finished article yet, and I'd love to get another two seasons out of him, before he goes for the mega bucks. Some more swagger down the left...
Want Villa, but we need another younger striker to fill out the squad as well.

No mention of Spuds? Hehehe...
I'm looking forward to a much tighter contest this year, the overall quality of football in the Prem last season was pretty shit... #imho

I'd have to agree with TS - beyond the top 7 there wasn't much to watch really. Look at the points drop off after Liverpool. The next closest team was 14 points behind and only 10 points separated 8th from 17th.

I'd have to agree with TS - beyond the top 5 there wasn't much to watch really. Look at the points drop off after Spurs. The next closest team was 9 points behind and only 20 points separated whatever 3rd rate outfit that was 7th from 17th.

Confederations cup, Spain look so out of sorts, misplaced passes, lacking composure and generally looking there for the taking. Brazil are being very in brazil like, at least in the intensity of their pressing and the forwards putting in a defensive shift.
Spain in no way look like scoring, and brazil seem happy enough falling over looking for freekicks and bookings. -

Early days, Corndog... Really enjoying it so far...

Don't agree Spain are out of sorts, Brazil are just doing a great job of getting in their grille... Fascinating to watch...

Despite the throwing himself to the floor. Neymars got a shot on him. No way Casillas was keeping that out.
Pedro's blocked chance could be the turning point.
Wonder how many changes Del Bosque is going to make at half time..
