Spuds had a 15m bid for Freddy Guarin turned down it seems.

for once it's nice to see liverpool sliding down a table.

i'd like to see us stop topping the post / crossbar hit league too

cron god - if PSG are serious, which it appears they are, than AVB will most certainly leave. He will not win anything at Spurs, whereas at PSG he will be able to add a few trophies here and there. Also, with Monaco spending the way they are, there will be a somewhat unique rivalry going on next year. Hiddink can't come so it really wouldn't surprise me that they go all out and try to get AVB in.

Jaw, can understand the formulation behind your theory, but come on. He's not going to PSG. Christ he's only just rehabilitated his reputation with us, and PSG is a big job with lots of ego's and sundry backroom bullshit. Bit like Chelsea. Pretty sure he's not going to want to step back into that sort of shitstorm again unless he's got the CV to back up his demands and get what he needs.
AVB to be at Spurs opening day...
Anyway ain't PSG interested more in Wenger..

Champions League though. He needs to prove himself there sooner or later...
I dont think he will or should go fwiw

Prole, get to fuck.
Tenderoni, best to get there with a club you've built than being jettisoned into one where the expectations are so high you'll get chopped at the first sign of trouble.
Needs to win with us, and probably someone else if he doesn't decide to end his career as spurs manager before he'll have the weight to demand and get what he wants with no comeback from the board/owner..

Balls. It's better to get there full stop. He won't get there with Spurs.

Suarez doesn't look to be a lfc player next season
could be trolling of course

Do people really put stuff like that in emails these days? Seems slightly naive of Mr Ayres if it is genuine.

• #83065
especially after that 'Khmer rouge' stuff.
Confirmed as fake.. you part timers could learn from that

That's austerity for you.

@punnage
you to a certain extent are right, which is why I believe he'll stay. He got us to fifth, verge of CL qualification up till the last game, and still has work to do, and as far as I'm aware wants to continue the job..
-
• #83073
so to which certain extent am I wrong?
-
• #83074
Think you're being a bit naïve there. PSG is a massive step up and might never come knocking again.

You need to base your opinions on FACTS! A belief system approach to following football will only ever leave you desperate.
Pretty interesting article over on sporting intelligence about global pay - no suprise to see Man City right at the top.
Liverpool dropped to 21st highest, Spurs stay at 51st, Dortmund climbed from 70-56 (I'd still suggest that was pretty worthwhile)
