Fellaini - Cleverly is a more apt comparison, and Cleverly is cheaper.
Ferguson would probably view Fellaini as overpriced for Utd.
Fellaini shit all over Cleverley @ GP this season, dominated the whole midfield and easily got MoM

Distribution Role?? Isn't the CM role by definition a distribution role no matter where you play....defensive CM, holding CM or attacking CM....they all do the same job effectively - distribution
Fellaini can do all 3
So all midfielders are the same? Brilliant.

I agree Fellaini is a better player, but at Utd, players have a more defined role.
Fellaini would be a much less important player at utd than everton, however he would most likely start ahead of current utd players, but to Ferguson's eye it would be £10 million excess of sledgehammer to crack a nut.

Signed for Wigan @ 17yo, one more year an he's an adult
Wigan did NOT develop him did they?
Don't know about that.
Before Wigan - not good enough for Everton. After 3 years at Wigan too good for Everton.
Seems plenty of development there.

Eyyyy? Where are you getting the 'too good for Everton' bit from? Or is that just your opinion?
Moyes let him go, hardly went clambering back for him 3yrs later....Pfffff.....don't make me fart!

Is this a thing now - would this really be a problem? Players can only sign for teams that align with their own sponsors?
This from SAF "When we discussed the candidates that we felt had the right attributes we unanimously agreed on David Moyes. David is a man of great integrity with a strong work ethic. I've admired his work for a long time..."
Like when you were 4-2 up last year and he cost you the title?
