Times are always tough up North. Everton are a canny club that does relatively well within their means. Its unlucky for them that the league is skewed, the best they can hope for is that one of the teams with a bigger budget keeps cocking up. No prizes for guessing which team I'm referring to…

As I said yesterday, if it's Martinez I will not be watching Everton again, home, away, even on the telebox
In fact, if our cunt Chairman gets any of these tits in, the same applies:
O'Neill

Fat Sam
Pardew

Pisti
Go into the office kitchen, grab the Derby mug and join Chalfie, Rob and me at some games next season.
You know it makes sense.

It'll be Poyet or Martinez depending on promotion/relegation.

Please Benitez.

A game at Anfield?

personally think Martinez would be a good hire for everton, also if he becomes available Poyet, whose done good things at Brighton.
Martinez knows how to work on a small budget, gets his teams playing football and up till this point has kept his teams in the PL. For Everton he'll promote youth, play more attacking football, not have to keep selling his best players every year and maybe just maybe keep the ball rolling.
Anyway anyone who thinks Pisti will turn to stone when it comes to Everton is having a laugh. If they get Martinez and they get off to a flying start next season, above Liverpool in the league, he'll be watching every match.
See how much his word is worth, now he's backed away from the wearing a liverpool shirt to work for a month since Moyes is nailed on to go to Utd.
If you're gonna talk the talk pisti, you've got to walk the walk...

Oooof.....
**Wigan **chairman Dave Whelan is resigned to losing manager** Roberto Martinez** sooner or later - but believes he could do better than Everton.
Whelan tells BBC Radio 5 Live: "It's a battle that I will lose and Wigan will lose at some point, I've no question on that. It's a case of would Roberto choose to go to Everton or would he wait for one of the really big clubs?"

Question then becomes, does he feel like he's slipped behind Rodgers in the managerial pecking order, seeing as he was overlooked for the Liverpool job (arguably a bigger club than Everton) and is now left with the smaller rival/neighbour...

For me I think Martinez was never in the frame for the Liverpool job simply because he asked some tough questions about the ownership and decision making there. At Wigan and at Swansea he has a level of input and transparency to the way things are done, Liverpool, in their current guise, come across as a "too many cooks" scenario and not a lot of clarity. If you can't understand how decisions are made, then it makes sense to walk away. I see that Martinez would walk away from Everton for the same reason unless he gets along really well with Kenwright.

Cornetto talking his usual armchair larrup yet again
Seriously, what the frig has Martinez done for Wigan in The Premiership?? They play shite all season then pull their socks up for the last 4 games. Defensively shocking and 'promotes youth'??
Where's your evidence on this? Name 6 Wigan youth team players to make the grade while Martinez in charge -

I'm with Rameye. But ultimately it's up to Kenwright and the vibes from Pisti's posts lead me to think that Moyes was the only thing keeping the fans happy.Tough times ahead for Everton.
