radio 5 gave me a bit of perspective on the whole wenger situation
i think i do feel a bit sorry for him
i mean everton have won fuck all since 1995 and they're not having a go at their very average manager
poor wenger .. just imagine if he'd done as poorly as moyes in the last 10 years he'd have been out on his ear no question about itMarked improvement in trolling dicki.

poor wenger .. just imagine if he'd done as poorly as moyes in the last 10 years he'd have been out on his ear no question about itIt doesn't work like that. Everton supporters have followed their team through bad times always knowing that they were the second side on Merseyside and never expecting to win anything, just hoping that Liverpool would stop winning things and, once in a while allow Everton to do better than they did. This has happened. Everton have finished ahead of Liverpool in the league And have been a runner up in the Cup. Happy days for Toffees.
Arsenal supporters, however, started supporting their team because it was winning things. They wanted to follow the top team in London, a team vying for league and cup honours although never quite challenging in Europe. They are not interested in seeing Arsenal slide down the table. They will probably switch their allegiances to Barcelona or rugby if things don't improve. Sad days for the latte boys.

everyone knows i haven't been to anfield this lifetime due to me being a cockney plastic preferring to watch Sky on my sofa
Ftfy
-
• #76982
I think that is a trifle unfair. I don't suppose that dicki has Sky and I am certain that he does not lounge on a sofa. He seems more of a settee type.

you are quite right clive I don't lounge
-
• #76985
How many armchairs does a chap need?
Surely a chair in the lounge for him and a stool in the kitchen for her is more than sufficient.

so pisti, your righteous indignation about kenwright's time in charge comes to nought eh!
What does that make you, fan through thick and thin, only indignant when the results aren't going your way, glory hunter as Everton are at the sharp end and challenging for CL place and still in the FA Cup?Wave your ticket stubs as much as you want (I'm calling forgeries) if you talked as much about everton as you did about liverpool I might believe you truly do support the blues.

Broken chevron key on his keyboard? It does take a lot of abuse to be fair.

When do you think that a player who has played first team football in the top leagues from the age of 18 is at their physical peak?
My best guess is at 23/24 e.g. 5 years of experience, usually at 26 they would have lost their speed through injuries and whatnot.
Bale's value is most likely to be at his peak come this summer and I very much doubt it that Spurs are not going to sell him, it wouldn't make business sense to hold onto him for another 1 or 2 years. Providing he stays injury free from now until the end of the season than they should always look to cash in on him.

moneyball
-
• #76994
For all the talk of Liverpool playing moneyball, at least Spurs have some players that other teams might actually want.
-
• #76995
Exactly. And we haven't sold them all yet either.
So Andy, where will Wilshire end up? I bet Man U.
-
• #76996
So we have Derby away in the next round of the Youth Cup. Presume our Derby Diehards will all be there?
-
• #76997
I don't leave the confines of the orbital anymore Clive.
Beating Man City?
Get in. -
• #76998
Probably no need to cap up on diehards.
-
• #76999
I assumed he capitalised Derby Diehards as that was the title of your 1980s style "firm". Or in your cases perhaps that should be "infirm".

If he doesn't go to Swindon I, for one, will be very, very disappointed.
