Anyway back to Liverpool, it was an unconvincing win:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8254451.stm
And it appears that they may have only won by match fixing:
Only Liverpool can win a game 1-0 when the keeper is trying to let in 3 goals

I read on the guardian, where else, that fforest going to shit is directly linked to the change of MDs in the board.
Is this true prole? (srs questions. While it's megalozzles that you took big 'eck, it's a fucking shambles of senior mgmt). Any insight on that?
Is wee Billy D coming back? Is it too soon?(how's that for a corney post?)
Fawaz al-Hasawi's cousin stepped down as Chairman in December and since then he has assumed the role of Chairman. Since then it's been carnage.
His first action was to sacked Sean O'Driscoll, which was obviously a clusterfuck of a mistake, given we were just a point off the play-offs and starting to play some decent football.
His second action was to sack the chief scout, a move which was met with indifference given our shall we say, mixed dealings in the transfer market over the past few years.
Then he followed this up by sacking the universally detested Chief Exec, Mark Arthur, a move which some thought might lead to a period of sensible, considered and competent leadership at the club. In reality he was just doing what any maniacal dictator does when challenged and disappeared any potential dissenting voices in order to consolidate power.
Billy Davies won't stand a chance given his reputation for run-ins with chairman. McLeish was meant to be one of those yes-men, so who fucking knows who we'll get. The chairman himself is 16/1 to get the job, which shows how much of a circus we've become.

If the chairman becomes manager, football has ended.

Word on the street is that this is actually going to happen.
Good god.

According to David Ornstein we did actually agree a deal for Damiao, only for Internacional to pull out and say he could only sign in the summer. Cnuts.

Current odds
Billy D 1/4
Jimmy F HassleBerk 5/1
Paolo Di Canio 7/1
N Adkins 10/1
Fawaz Al Hasawi 28/1 (out from 16/1 so looking unlikely)Looking good for Billy but Paolo has to be worth a cheeky punt.

I think this is the right place to put this, not sure if its a re, just though it might be useful to some of the everton fans here.

This makes no sense, why would they sell him in the summer transfer window, which is the middle of the season for Brazil? Same thing happened last year, so couldn't give a shit about him now.

You'd get to experience it first hand if you went to away games.

Yes - Upton Park is an absolute shithole, Islington isn't much better either. TBH the majority of away grounds I've been to have been either in London or pretty close to a motorway, I never tend to tour the local council estates to get a feel of the place.

• #75798
The Etihad technically is a council estate. And not too far from the motorway.

^sounds like a place I would pay for to avoid.
Been to OT once for a semi final against Blackburn Rovers. 2-1 AET. Football train to OT and back after the match.
Didn't get to sample any council estates that day either. -

Near the Velodrome though
