Leeds deserved that, they were well up for that, wasn't worried when we went one n down, more concerned when we went two down, then thought we'd wiggle out of it and get a replay when Dempsey grabbed one back. Then slow feeling of inevitable disappointment as chances went begging.
Great tackle to deny obika, but the midfield was sloppy, no intent or energy, siggurdson was lightweight, Dempsey lacked the pace to make the ground on the counter and Benni looked like the game was beneath him...
Brown was as dirty as always and diouf did what diouf does best and just annoy the fuck out of everyone on the pitch..
But again if you don't match the work rate of the team from the lower league you'll never get the chance to let your superior skills show.. Warnock had Leeds up for it. And we'll need to play better than that to get past Lyon..
Right now I'm only taking comfort from Liverpool being a goal down to Oldham..

Never doubted spurs today even at two nil (as paddy power will testify..) but fair play leeds hung on.
Their two goals were both very sloppy from a sleepy spurs. Was concerned when I saw Defoe wasn't even on the bench and in that case would of like to of seen Bale and Dempsey switch positions for a bit to see Bale as a Striker.
One thing I took from today was that we wouldn't be fourth right now if Friedel was our number one in the league. Amazed he got another contract. Think the ref was wrong to blow up before the ball crossed the line as well. Imagine if we'd of been winning 2-1 and he did that.

Is Jose Baxter still on Everton's books? He's looking half decent. Also oldham's third scored by Utd loanee, the rivalry continues even when utd and Liverpool aren't even playing each other

Also thoroughly enjoying Liverpool being down 3-1 at Oldham. My first Spurs match was Oldham 0-2 Tottenham in 1994 at Boundary park which pretty much secured our survival that season in PL under Ossie...

Yarklad, today showed what a good job lloris does for us by playing as a sweeper keeper, he initiates a load of our play, and makes the back four play higher up the park. Friedel is still a safe pair of hands but there is a drop off in our ability to push on when he's between the sticks.
I'm not going to knock AVB for rotating when I've been critical of 'Arry in the past for not, and the team we had out, should have been good enough to win the day. Defoe was a big miss for us today and shows how thin we are upfront when both he and Adebayor are unavailable.
Again, some players had a chance to impress and get themselves into the reckoning for a starting place, siggurdson and huddlestone I'm looking at you, and they did themselves no favours. Lack a creative player to unlock defences and to complement the pace we have on the break.

Do you actually know anything about football or is it all off Spurs forums?

Nice to see Joe Allen didn't make a massive deal celebrating a deflected goal, even his first one for the club. Wallycott would of run around like he was messi after that.

Pisti if I supported everton I'd know baxters situation, since I don't I don't care until I see his name pop up on oldham's team sheet against Liverpool.
If you don't want to enlighten me fine, keep your daily fail and sun exclusives to yourself.Ps surprised it took you so long to smash the keyboards with your anti Liverpool vitriol, I'd have thought as soon as Oldham took the lead you'd have been straight in with the verbal boot to the solar plexus..
