  • I'm extremely glad that Suarez didn't own up and ask for the goal to be disallowed, I wouldn't want to run the risk and actually start liking the prick.

  • To be fair he is right on these two counts.

Yeah he did look surprised when the goal was awarded

  • Suarez, own up???!

  • as we are all taught from a very young age play to the whistle
both lino and ref thought it was a valid goal having seen the ball hit his hand

suarez is no angel but there aren't many players in todays game who would own up

can you imagine john terry or rio ferdinand showing a bit of honesty ... no i thought not

  • there is a case recently in italy, of all places, where a player goes to the umpire and admits a handball
goal stood originally but was ruled out once player admitted it

honesty is a trait we all aspire to ... i bet none of us have cheated at anything in our whole entire lives

i know i haven't ... you are only cheating yourself

  • The ref may have ignored him anyway. Remember God trying to stop a penalty being awarded after Seaman had bought him down it the penalty area. Despite his protests it was still awarded and Owen. I think it was, went on to score it.

  • Like I said earlier, ad nauseum.

Nobody other than LFS supporters will accept Suarez as a footballer, they will always think of him as a cretin and a cheat (rightly so).

Can we all move on now and discuss how far the mighty Arsenal have fallen?

  • The fact that this is being talked about is testimony to how shit Liverppol were. Premier League against non-league should have been decided by three or four clear goals by half time. Anyone who fails to beat lower league opposition by a comfortable margin really does need to take a good long inward look at themselves and question whether they really do have the ability that match their ambition. If not, time to accept the level you are now and the level you are sliding towards. This is not just aimed at kopites but all clubs who failed to show a decent result in the face of lower league defiance.

    Sounds good to me

i think you are forgetting the magic of the cup ramaye
    anything is possible

  • Or McLeish's magic touch.

  • Actually, Leicester have gone down in my books

We get £250K(might be a bit less) when Beckford plays 50 games, they ship him out to Huddersfield on 49 games and now they wanna sell him and don't wanna play him again

You got him for free didn't you? Robbing scouse bastards.

  • Or McLeish's magic touch.

Let's hope it lasts until 19 Jan

  • I think Suarez and Liverepool, once again, are being victimised by this. I, for one, shall be wearing my Suarez is innocent (again) t-shirt in sympathy.

Why is it that the press have to pick on him? If you look at the game, it is evident that Maccesfield were guilty of a number of fouls. The press are always so pro Maccesfiled and anti Liverpoool.

  • Or Mansfield even

  • i hate that this is the image used for suarez's handball in a few papers
that is his usual goal celebration and in no way is he kissing the hand that socred the goal
loads of less knowledgeable fans might mis-construe this action

  • ^look at him, kissing the hand that scored the goal, WAC

  • Who. Fucking. Cares?

Let's say if it was some other shite mid-table team, would there be as much upheaval?

Suarez is and always will be a controversial character, fact!

The sooner Benitez leaves Chelsea the better, fact!

Midlands based football teams in general are pretty shit, fact!

Fellaini will leave Everton this summer, fact!

    Geordies are fat, fact!

Arsenal fans can't remember what it's like to win a trophy, fact!

Spurs can call themselves the Y word, yet get all uppity if someone else uses it, so lets all agree and stop using this derogatory word, fact!

Norwich City fans are all inbred fact!

    Leeds are scum, fact!

SAF is a senile alcoholic, fact!

Moyes is prolly the best Scottish manager in the league (pound for pound spent), fact!

Rafa's personality traits are starting to rub off on me, fact!

  • thread ends
    jaw resolved EVERYTHING

All part of the anti-Liverpool campaign the press are currently waging

  • ooh ffs mike, if there's one team the press likes it's that midtable team that plays in red.

LFC gets more than their fair share of positive exposure in the national press.

  • @Prole

Who's this Korean that Mcleish has targetted? Lee Gwan

  • Talking of thieving Scousers...

    Bet it was Tony Hibbert
