Was reading Sturridges goals per games stats on the BBC yesterday and they are actually very good.
What is the problem with him? Why did he never get a chance at Chelsea, is he really that shite? -

Why did he never get a chance at Chelsea, is he really that shite?oh FFS - don't get me wrong I hope he does well and both Man City and Chelsea get proven wrong but somehow there have been 6 managers who've had a look at him and didn't think he was worthy of a chance in the starting line up.
Goals per minute or game ratio are useless if the player in question doesn't play 30+ games per season. See the Anichebe stat somewhere above.
Sturridge, based on his current level, is just another Nicklas Bendtner. I'm glad we've found some mugs to pay £12m for him as he's had plenty of chances but didn't convince.
In return we get a 26 year old proven goal scorer with crocked knees that hasn't missed a game in 18 months (apparently).

Jaw, you forgot:
Jaw logs on and talks about obscure European players
Bill logs on and talks wistfully about how it was in the old days when footballers were paid in shillings and everyone drank Bovril.

Lol we haven't a hope in hell. The only top 4 side we beat with ease regularly are those West London rent boys.
I don't believe we have beaten Arsenal in 5 years and we have never won at the EmiratesAren't Liverpool supporters supposed to have long memories... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/14514681

Football thread daily cycle of life:
- dicki boots up computer, has the bbc gossip page on his start up screen, presses ctrl f, types "liverpool" and reads.
- dicki logs into lfgss and posts what most of us have seen already
- mikec arrives at work with lfgss as his start up screen, scan reads dicki's posts, and responds in a witty manner by being slightly inane and pessimistic about his beloved LFC.
- Pistanator logs on and gets the hump with anyone that supports a team that plays in red
- cliveo posts some sort of rant about Chelsea's latest mishap and trolls the thread on epic levels.
- TS is now in on the act as well and adds some fuel to the fire.
- Red mickeys come out to defend their glorious history.
- The Football Thread analysts have arrived and hope to level it down by posting some pseudo intellectual rants.
- Corny logs on during his lunch break after reading the Grauniad and skimming Twatter for Sid Lowe, James Richardson, Barry Glendenning et al and forms his well educated opinion and posts about his beloved Spurs.
- Championship fan boys post some crap about the lower leagues.
- MG logs on when everyone's gone home and rants at posts that everyone has forgotten.
Fuck off smurf man

Balotelli's played his last game for City then, just duffed up Mancini
***PICTURED: Balotelli and Mancini in stunning training ground bust-up - so is the bad boy striker finally being shoved through the Man City exit?
it's a 3mil pay off... we dont want him and no fucker is going to buy him. so paying off half his remaining contract seems like good damage limitation
The Ba 'deal' isn't quite just the 7mil, seems theres a good 5 mil extras in fees and Ba wants a piece of that too
