RIP Dave Sexton.

On current form, name a better one?
Lahm, Marcelo, Jordi Alba
-
• #70029
You'd never heard of him 'til today!!

pffffft do one...
I've been brought up with enough football to know that Sexton was the first manager to deliver European silverware to Chelsea.

Lahm, Marcelo, Jordi Alba
Would that be the same Lahm who Bayern wanted to replace with Baines when they bid £15m last season?? We told them to get their coat >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Marcelo and Alba don't change games as much as Baines can or penetrate defences by continually getting to the byline or charging into the 18/20yrd zone from his own half
Why isn't bloodface sniffing around them then?

Cashley* had a good game...

Funny how Chelsea fans have NEVER got on the back of the man behind all the recent management lozzles of the last few seasons; Abramovich
He'd be off quicker than you could say 'blood stained roubles' and they'd be in The Championship
all of THIS

Lahm, Marcelo, Jordi Alba
Rubbish
-
• #70042
He was manager in late 60s/early 70s
You're Dutch and a plastic since the 90s(lies about '85 - Stamford Bridge was no safe place for an 8yr old in 85)
£10 says you heard of him about 3.27 this afternoon?
-
• #70043
You've never had an uncle talk to you about the European games of the early 70's?
You're right though about the Bridge being vile and dangerous. This game was a friendly between Rangers (mums cousin supported them and lived in London then) and Chelsea for the victims of the Bradford fire. The crowd was tiny, smallest crowd I've ever seen at the Bridge but the whole experience made a big impression.
From 88 onwards I've been going at least once a season and since the PL started a few more times a year.

Next game at Stamford Bridge, I wanna see big CliveO in the stand with a big banner with the simple yet straight to the point:
"Adios Cuntos"

Without the aid of google, name the full 85/86 starting 11

I would happily double that.

@Pisti
Marcelo
Jordi Alba
Balzaretti
LahmAnd none of them look like a 1970's prison guard / rapist either.
Baines is definitely the best LB in the prem on current form thought
