Agreed, I don't get why players do it (and the same with Chelsea a few years ago with Sidwell & Parker).

Those teams want world class players in every position, and will pay to have them. If you are young British talent you aren't going to get a chance there. Go to somewhere like Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Spurs, who will play you, and if you become world class those clubs will be back for you later.
