Ha! This is a gem from RAWK
He has gone, he can never return.
Goodbye Rafa, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you did. You will always have a place in our hearts, along with Shanks, Paisley, Fagan and Dalglish.
I know how much you want to be back here, sorting things out, running things and finishing off what you had started. You were treated so bad, we understood this too late to help you. We are sorry, so very sorry.
But now we must fight on, we must draw strength from our forefathers and face our foes head on, without fear or trepidation. Together we march on, we crave our rightful place at the top of the pile; that place is ours, it is why we are feared and hated. So be it. We exist to be the best, to be a shining example unto others. We do not settle for anything but the best. We are kings.
So I say once more. Thank you Rafa, I wish you well. But should we meet in battle then we shall show you no mercy. It is not love or hate that makes us hungry; it is the desire to be the best. And we will, no matter what, always strive to be the best. For we are kings, and we never surrender.

With Benitez at the helm, I had 100% confidence going into all our European games. Even away at Barca, you knew we would come away with a result. We demolished Real 4-0 and made them look like fools such was our European superiority at the time.
This is true - in league games anything could happen, we'd usually lose after only playing well for the last 20 mins, but in Europe we could beat anyone.

I don't think your first statement is a fair one.
From what I understand, the majority of the Liverpool supporters were behind Benitez as they realised what was happening to our club at the boardroom level and were grateful for him to standing up the the incompetent owners. Also the fact he won the European Cup on that incredible evening makes him forever a legend and I think you will be hard pushed to find any fans who have to bad a word to say about him.
Yes before the end he had lost the plot, following the rant against Taggart. it was clear the pressure was getting to him. He also had poor man management skills, demonstrated by his handling of Alonso. Conversely he was able to get the best out of Torres so he must have done something right.

Anyway, so.
Is there anyone better at being cutting than Jose? In football.
" It's good that it was City because Roberto can work without any kind of problems, I believe. Because if it was Real Madrid the press wouldn't let me return to Madrid." -

They've only got West Brom to challenge them for 4th place though.

he lost the crowd because of his man management skills not his tactical genius, his sale of alonso burnt bridges with the fans, he messed up in his last year but the whole club was falling apart at that time he was selling players to fund hicks and gilette's us mall empire that was collapsing i'm sure it wasn't an easy time for rafa
the wrath of the fans was aimed at him and hicks/gilette equally, him for on pitch cockups them for off pitch cockupszenden as his number 2
Wanted to sell Alonso and replace with Barry?! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Bought Sterling though so all is forgiven

man management skills lacking

Spurs fans attacked in bar in Rome by Lazio 'fans' with motorbike helmets, iron bars and knives. One man in his 40's is in a serious condition with stab wounds
Will Blatter and that other cunt Platini do anything about it? Will they fuck!!?
Be a different story if a Lazio fan was knifed on Seven Sisters Rd on the way to WHL

Anyone else read this?
ROBERTO DI MATTEO was warned he would be sacked if he axed £50million flop Fernando Torres.
SunSport can reveal that Chelsea chiefs were aware Di Matteo was thinking of dumping owner Roman Abramovich’s pet signing against Juventus on Tuesday.
They advised the manager not to but the Italian ignored the warning — even though he knew it would cost him his job.Source -

So Benitez has said that he would never go to any other English team because of his repect for Liverpool.
Wonder what happened for him to lose that respect.
