Didn't Houllier win at least 3 of those trophies?
And they fired him? Surely not!

• #69328
Shit! I hope Harry does not end up at the Bridge, i was hoping he would take over from Hughes at Loftus Road!

Clive - it sure is nothing new but the lack of stability is concerning. AVB, Grant, Hiddink, RDM and Scolari have all been in charge for less than 12 months. That's quite frankly ridiculous. Of the top of my head I reckon only Moratti and Gil y Gil give/gave their managers less time.

Both Houlier and Benitez were each of them Liverpool managers longer than any Chelsea manager since Sexton.

Drogba is negotiating to come back to Chelsea on loan.
He's obviously heard that a decision has to be made on the new manager, and needs to return to help JT et al make the decision in the usual manner. -
• #69332
Drogba is asking to be allowed to seek a loan deal in Europe so that he can prepare for the ACN. Nothing links him with Chelsea. He is not registered for the Champions League.
-
• #69334
yup drogba is rubbish

He is not registered for the Champions League.
Chelsea aren't either.

Forest have had a lot of managers recently and won fuck all.

v nice.
I can't believe they're considering Rafa "shit hanging from a stick" Benitez. What happened to Chelsea wanting to play some football?
I actually kind of feel that Chelsea and Redknapp are a pretty good pair in funny sort of way - they don't really want a manager, he isn't really a manager.. could be a match made in heaven.
Moyes would be a complete idiot to take the job - and he seems a fairly intelligent guy so I don't really see that happening.

For all you football experts out there
Take the referee theory test

Benitez is desperate and proud enough to take on the job for 7 months, then he'll either be sacked (most likely) or prove he's the messiah some Liverpool fans still believe he is (unlikely) whilst rejuvenating Torres.
Either way, he's dispensible in the summer when Abramovich hopes Guardiola is prepared to take the job (unlikely).

round and round in circles, surely Roman is going to get dizzy and fall over at some point
Jaw. Have a butchers at our list of managers. 25 in the past 40 years (and only five in the preceding 60 years). This is not an Abramovich issue. Very few clubs sit on managers for a long time any more. Chelsea certainly haven't for a while.
