A mate of mine was in the Southampton Arms the other week and got talking to a guy at the bar, who volunteered that he used to be a Chelsea Headhunter and showed him his 'Nazi skull'/lion/Chelsea badge tattoo and told him how he used to be 'pretty active in politics'. Apparently he's past all that now, and Abramovich priced him out of Stamford Bridge.
Style.
I met one of those bellends in a bar in Sharm once. He was a gobby twat, covered in tacky tattoos going on about how hard he was. I decided not to wind him up about how much a bunch of cunts Chelsea are ane elected to talk about the diving. Which he didn't seem that interested in really

liked Coyle, and thought he was building something nicely at Burnley, who were doing a nice Swansea/West Brom impression, then he jumped ship to Bolton, which always seemed like a sideways step, despite the insistence that they were a bigger club, bigger budget, more chance to bring in players..
Coyle seemed to have a lot of players on loan from the big guns, I wonder if thats a hindrance rather than a boon, as those players are with you for a season, half a season, and then you've got to replace them with other loan players, or spend some cash on new players, which is almost like remaking your first team/squad every season...
also not sure how big a factor was the muamba heart attack, in terms of how it affected the squad.
I've spoken about this before but the drive to get back into the premiership, and it would seem the inability of chairman to recognise how intensely competitive the championship is, makes the quest for an immediate return to the top flight so much harder, that they should be organising those parachute payments bearing that in mind. And doesn't it mean that every premiership contract should have clauses in them about what happens if the club is relegated, drop in wages, selling on, etc, or would that be thought of as too negative?
-
• #67036
Most Prem contracts do have that clause.
Most chairmen know exactly what is in store when they drop down. But it's better to gamble all out and try and get back, then organise payments and be prudent.See: Leicester, Forest etc etc.
GAMBLE GAMBLE GAMBLE

Umm yes you did, I've bolded the tricky bit for you
http://www.lfgss.com/thread14435-1278.html#post3057105Looks like Agger is heading to City. Can't say I blame him to be honest. He has been good for us, if a little injury prone. He's never going to win anything here so he may as well go somewhere where he has a shot of silverware
OK so where'd you read that? He might sure but citeh will have to pay through the nose. Agger doesn't want to leave, he just got a YNWA tattoo on his hand for example (unless thats a reminder of his time with LFC)
There is plenty of speculation about it in the press. No smoke without fire. If we can get $25million for him or whatever from City, for a player who is injury prone, then I think we will take it and hopefully invest it

I can see the potential short term benefits of loaning players like Wilshere and Sturridge and whoever else, but yeah like you said, they just return to their respective clubs at the end of the season, leaving Bolton at square one, while other smaller clubs sell on their better performing players to generate some cash to pump into next season's squad.
Renting a few teenagers can't be great for morale, either.
Loan players are like Wonga. Alright for a bit, then it's really shit when they're gone.

They seemed to do alright until they got battered by Stoke at Wembley. They've been shit since then. That wasn't long after the Muamba thing, I suppose.

Ahahaha, I missed this.

We've got loads of strikers.
We've got the buck-toothed cheating cunt, Rihanna, the young one, the other young one

We have loads of options. Borini has only scored the once I think.
Also, we only need a couple of players to beat your lot of donkeys. Worry about your own team >>>>>>>>> -
