Gerrard must be thinking 'WTF is this cunt??'

You'd think the players would see straight through that shit.
But then you see Stevie G sitting front row.

I see the management strategies implemented by FSG at the Boston Red Sox are apparent at LFC.
I suspect Gerrard might be an interim player-manager sooner, rather than later.

It's stage-managed for the cameras innit. I bet Stevie G has kicked any number of cats about not signing for Chelsea when he had the chance.

I think we should employ Chris Boardman and Dave Brailsford -

Would it be harsh to suggest that Rodgers and FSG are completely out of depth or are the press and the LFC fans completely unrealistic in the way the communicate their expectations from the team?
-
• #66959
The press hate Liverpool. As most of it is run by Chelsea rent boys or United fans.

All jokes aside, I'm really happy about the way Chelsea have played so far this season (the Atletico game excluded). Cech has looked good, the new players have settled in beyond expectation and RDM has impressed me as well by showing his tactical nous.

Cool, I'm not a plastic.
Technically I'm not anyway, as my dad was a Liverpool fan. From Hemel Hempstead, though, and I have no knowledge if my granddad had any interest in football, so I'm probably the son of a plastic. But TEH RULEZ don't mention that.

expectations are to rebuild this year.... signs of going in the right direction are important
A few quid to spend in january apparently.. we shall see

Who will they sell to fund those purchases?

• #66964
He dropped Bill off that list as well.

Commercial revenue (shirt deal and car association trophies) and free'd wages from what I read
-

and will those purchases not depend on the league position. If LFC are 20 points off the pace for CL qualification they will not be able to sign quality players that will propel the club to that level.
As it stands (alphabetical order): Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Newcastle (at a push) and Spurs are all 2 seasons ahead of LFC. Will the FSG model be able to pursue their long term goals without CL income?

quite possibly... buying up and coming players rather than established more demanding types will be key to break into the upper section of the league... Well that's how would play it.
Getting rid of comolli was the first step
