Looks like Agger is probably out for the season.
I think it might be time to say this year won't be our year. But next year...

You're allegedly having AC back in January.
-
• #65880
after you lot crocked him
cheersso we'll have to adjust the way we play just as we are beginning to look so good ! doh !
-
• #65881
We didn't crock him. He'll have had the finest treatment after Everton thanks to us.
-
• #65882
well we've got the difficult games out of the way
nows the time to start putting some points on the boardcome on your reds
Yeah, that Sunderland away fixture must have been one of the biggies of the season.
But thank you Liverpool, I bet my to plastic friends £30 that you'd be in the bottom half after 6 games.

:laughslikeadrain:
maybe consider sending 15 of that to brendan rodgers
without him your bet would have come to naught
he could add it to our striker fund come january -

You need to work on your math sonny, AC has playewd 63 min out of the 5 games that WHU have played and amassed 8 points.
If I'm honest, I think you're just grasping at straws.

It continues here too...

Regardless, we had enough chances to win it.
I hate Suarez appealing for a penalty, when the ball is meters away, in Liverpool possession
it was more of a pen than the one given

Most of the knob jockeys here wouldn't know a decent team if they saw one.
I think Rodgers has got them playing good football with some exciting youngsters. The only very poor game we have had all season was against Arsenal. Other than that we have been geting better. Calls for him to be sacked are insane. This year is about avoiding relegation, possibly going on a run in Europe and getting the youngsters into the team. And who gives a fuck about a bunch of dickheads saying the ref should die of cancer. That's life. I bet I could find as many vicious twats in my local Budgens.
The ref was a cunt thoughtotally agree with that... Did you write it yourself or get some help?

For my sins I've been reading the comments on the Guardian Spurs match reports and there are fans that will never be happy with AVB, just like I was with 'Arry, but much more willing to vent even with so few matches in the books. They don't like him, they don't like the fact he replaced 'Arry, the press have the knives out, they have already written the storyline they want to see and are pursuing it.
AVB is only just starting to implement his style and management on the club, yet there is no honeymoon period, no acceptance that progress is being made. Just the lament that we finished top 4, and top 5 over the last three seasons and we should be pushing on to challenge for the title, and that our squad is strong enough to attempt it.
The inevitable slump that will happen during the season will be a difficult time for AVB, as I doubt he's going to get alot of support, but he showed on Sunday a refreshing realism, and ability to adjust. QPR bossed us first time, we didn't have any zip, or spark, had trouble passing to each other and weren't in any danger of scoring a goal. The only reason QPR weren't out of sight was the excellent goalkeeping of Friedel - take that men of the Press who are whipping up Lloris/Friedel/AVB discontent stories, when the incumbent player is being so impressive, it would be downright foolish and detrimental to team spirit to remove them for a player who hasn't proven themselves.
Yet he changed it at half time and we looked a different side second half, lucky own goal to get us back into it, and then we believed enough to break quickly, and grab a second. Couple of rocky moments towards the end of the game, but we came away with a win, after our handling of Lazio on thursday there are signs to be encouraged by. Vertonghen's ability to move to left back and still be impressive, the positional flexibility of Dempsey to push on as a second striker, Sandro and Demebele again in midfield, even though they were outmuscled in the first half..
There are reasons to be cheerful, though if you read some comments, its as if we are wedged to the bottom of the table..
On the sending off at Anfield, should have been a double yellow, they both went for the ball, both had studs showing, same sanction for both players or none at all..
Arsenal looked good in coming back from being a goal down at City, but Gervinho's got to put away some of those chances. Also hoping Giroud doesn't become the new Chamakh, got to wonder how his confidence is doing after Wenger left him on the bench.. Cazorla looks classy, and its good to see Diaby back and being imperious, and those inevitable comments calling him the new viera..

Doesn't matter, play to the ref.
Appealing achieves nothing, playing on and trying to score does.

true, once he realised that play was going on he was back on it again..
Was interesting to hear the difference in commentary between Van Rapey's and Suarez's going down...

Lol I wrote it myself. i don't always spout nonsense :)
You have to think that our first win will come next week at Norwich

also just realised that we're eighth in the league, just five points off top spot, but more realistically, two points off those high flyers in third and fourth place, Everton and WBA.

Kelly out until the New Year
Agger out until God Knows when.
So no strikers, no defenders and a shortage of midfielders.
Let's put that first win on hold for a while. When are we playing Everton or Chelsea? We need those 3 points -

We need those 3 pointsAgger's isn't ligaments so it's nowhere near as bad as thought, once the sweeling is down he'll be bad. I really hope Coates gets the nod over Carra. Might see Wisdom on the right if he doesn't trust Enrique
Any striker would suffice now.
